decent everyday computer.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and foremost I didn't buy this computer to run the latest AAA gaming titles, and while I'm sure if I wanted to run those titles on this computer with modified settings I could, I just think that if that's the aim you might want to save up some more? That said I mainly use my computer for some light web browsing, streaming content [ ie. Netflix, hulu, Spotify.. ], and Photoshop. For webbrowing and streaming I haven't run into any issues. The computer runs smoothly and I haven't had any real issues. When it comes to having Photoshop open it doesn't run any better than it did on a lower spec'd laptop. Since I was already use to the program running a little slow before I'm not super upset that on my new machine I'm still having that same issue. Other than that the machine is fine. I wish that it didn't come packaged with a wifi dongle that came packaged with a CD that I didn't need. The rig doesn't have an optical drive and you don't need the CD for the drivers so it just felt like a waste. As far as I can tell the headphone jack is headphone only, and while there is a separate jack for a mic and I do have a usb mic, so it's not the end of the world, it just weird a bit. Maybe it's cheaper to produce it that way. The included peripherals work great, I haven't had any issues. My only real complaints are aesthetics, I don't see the purpose for the keyboard to have always on light up logos, they're white, the plastic covering it feels cheaper than the rest of the otherwise nice keyboard. The headphone button on the side can only pull up the default music player and for people that use iTunes that's probably great since you can set iTunes as the default, but as someone that uses Spotify it's just a button on the keyboard that I don't ever use. Even the internet shortcut key has been used a couple times. At the end of the day I'm happy with my purchase, and it's probably a safe purchase if all you plan to do is light productivity and titles like The Sims [ which so far has been smooth on my end ] it's a good guy, otherwise like I said earlier, might want to save some more.

Great computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This will be my 5th Cyberpower PC computer. I mainly play Overwatch on this computer. I just recently bought a 144hz monitor that looks AWESOME on this computer. Great buy. Highly recommend. BUT one of the downfalls of this brand, at least what I see, is they get dusty real quick and the fans are not great. So I buy the 2 pack of corsair fans on amazon and replace the fans that come with this. I also suggest to buy a SSD as your bootup drive. HIGHLY suggest that! Great great computer. With new monitor running at 144hz I get 140-170 ish FPS.

Still Setting Up and Installing, but very nice.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I have not run into any major problems with the tower. I was delighted with all the pretty lights which I did not expect. The initial setup was quite easy. The USB-3 ports (blue on top) do not seem to function any faster with USB-3 devices than with USB-2, but I did not purchase this unit for speed in that area, rather for ease of editing and rendering video, ... storage can wait. I have become more than dissatisfied with some of the software I purchased with the CyberPower - specifically CyberLink PowerDVD. I had tried to make it clear that this unit was not intended to go online, and had no idea that PowerDVD REQUIRES THE UNIT on which it is installed to be available to the "MotherShip" EVERY 30 DAYS. I only discovered this after attempting to install it and then trying to register it online via another system. It seemed simple enough to register and receive a "Key" and get it up and running. NOT SO. Unfortunately, CuberLink refuses to refund ANYTHING not purchased Directly from them and insisted that I contact the "3rd Party Vendor" (BestBuy), but there is no provision for refunding on software, so I seem to be out $100 for software I cannot use and do not want. I learned a very important lesson in "HiTech" marketing: Visit a "Brick & Mortar" store to look things over, but make your purchases directly whenever possible.

Gaming PC is GREAT!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so stoked that my computer desktop is able to run most all games I play at the highest setting compared to any other machine I have had in the past. I play World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV along with downloading music or streaming something at the same time with no lag spikes or rubber-banding issues while logged in. Its an amazing machine and I highly recommend it as a starter gaming PC for those looking for something inexpensive that doesn't have to be built from the ground up.

Completely irrelevant in 2018
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is extremely overpriced. I bought it before doing any research into PC building and planned on slowly upgrading parts to learn how to build a PC. Well, that was a mistake. First off, this motherboard (GA-78LMT-USB3 R2) doesnt even officially support Windows 10. I'm serious, call Gigabyte customer support and ask them. It still runs Win10 fine, but it is such outdated hardware. It doesnt even have SATA III ports, only SATA II, so if you upgrade to an SSD, you will be limited to around 300mb/s r/w MAX (more like 275). And on top of that, it's not even a UEFI board--its a Legacy board! Legacy-based systems stopped being produced YEARS ago. Why this is still being built, who knows. Maybe its all just leftover new-old-stock. The RAM is DDR3 1600mhz, and if you want to upgrade to faster RAM at 1866mhz+, well, you can't. The motherboard only supports up to 1600mhz RAM. The GPU is just okay. I mean its a 2gb RX560 which is a good entry level card by all means, but if you want 60fps on high or ultra settings, you probably arent gonna get it. The CPU is just okay as well. Its an FX6300, which is an AM3+ socket. AMD's FX series first came out in like 2011. They don't make AM3+ socket CPU's anymore and they havent for years. Oh, and if you want to upgrade it to a higher end FX series CPU, good luck. The motherboard is a 4+1 power phase so it will have trouble supporting an overclocked 125w CPU (like an FX8350). This computer also came with a 450w PSU, which is cutting it pretty close. All in all, the only thing i like about this computer is the case. It's a Phanteks P350x. Even then, the value just isnt there. Purchasing this computer in 2018 makes no sense. Build your own or buy an AM4 platform computer.
