I'm not a serious gamer. I simply don't have the time to be. But I do enjoy gaming and needed a system which could handle my gaming needs without breaking the bank. This machine met all those requirements! I'm completely satisfied with the graphics and speed. I don't lag and I have no problem running any game I have wanted to try thus far. I'm looking forward to a little downtime which I can use to catch up on all the gaming I put off for lack of a decent machine.

This was a joint Xmas/birthday present for my live-in fiancee's 17-year-old son in 2020. We had it delivered and it had some issues out of the box so we returned it to the local store for an in-store exchange for the same model in-store stock one. The manager of the store was very accommodating and treated us as valued customers during the process. The 2nd one had no issues and is still going strong and he's on it every day playing games on it mostly. It's a really nice looking computer, too, with the see-thru chassis and seems well-built.

      Lyndak,

First, we would like to thank you for choosing a Rhodium system, and to sincerely and humbly apologize that the system you received was not up to your standards, or ours.

From reading your feedback, we believe we know what happened, as it would explain both of the issues you encountered.

It is important to note that no matter the brand or model of any product, including computer components, there is always a failure rate, no matter how small.

Therefore, to help prevent any issues from reaching our customers, we put each system through an intense and thorough testing regimen, to insure that prior to shipping, each system is running without issue - as it should.

During the aforementioned testing period, if a configuration exhibits unexpected behavior, we may make use of testing parts - components that are kept for this purpose, and are known to be fully functional. This assists us in eliminating variables, and determining the cause of the aberrant behavior, so that the build can be completed with only new and properly functioning components..

We believe that in regards to the system you received, our error, quite frankly, was that somewhere along the line, we dropped the ball and instead of another system that was actually ready to ship, the machine you received was mistakenly moved from the testing area to packaging while a testing drive was still in it. This meant that not only did the system not complete testing, but it also bypassed our QA team altogether.

We believe this, as it is the only way we can think of, for this configuration, in this state, to have left our facility, without the error being caught by our testing and QA processes and teams.

Please mind that we are not attempting to make excuses - this never should have happened, and we are taking steps to help prevent a similar issue from occurring in the future - we are simply attempting to explain , and apologize.

We would like to note that the majority of those who have invested in this Rhodium system have been well pleased with it. The issues you encountered were most certainly a very rare exception, and by no means the rule, when it comes to the quality and performance of our products.

Also, we did not find any record of you reaching out to our Friendly Customer Service Team, but please know that had you contacted us, we would have gladly assisted you, and gotten you the system you expected, and deserved.

Thank you, and we again offer our heartfelt apology, and hope that perhaps in the future you may permit us another opportunity to prove to you that our products are normally of high quality and performance!

Made the terrible mistake of buying this piece of garbage for my son for Christmas. Opened it up, turned it on and all is well. Windows update pushes down current patches and device goes into endless rebooting and crashing. Brought it back to Best Buy who took it in and sent me a new one. Had exactly the same problem. Bottom line is that if it happened to me twice out of the box, it has happened to plenty of people. Why is Best Buy still selling it? Getting a refund and buying from another source and another manufacturer.

I am fairly adept when buying a computer and I got burned by Best Buy on a previous purchase. However about 10 years passed and I thought I would give them another chance. I purchased this computer and when I got it home, it would not turn on. I tried everything and even had an IT guy help. He said it was a system problem. Needless to say, spending over $1000 on a computer from Best Buy was not a good idea. Never again.

      Nerd4werds,

First, we would like to thank you for choosing a CybertronPC Rhodium system, and to sincerely apologize for the issue you encountered with powering the system up.

If the information below does not resolve the issue, please do not hesitate to contact our Friendly Customer Service Team at 855.490.2569, and reference ticket 2461395. We are happy to assist you; our priority is making your overall experience with your Rhodium system a positive one.

Most frequently, if this occurs, it is due to the master power switch on the power supply being rocked to the off position, either during packaging, or when being setup after being received.

To make certain that the master power switch is in the on position, follow these steps:

While looking at the back of the system, near where the power cord connects to the computer, a "rocker" style switch with two symbols - a line and a circle - will be seen. One side of this switch will be down, the other up.

If the circle symbol is on the side that is down, it is in the `Off' position. In this position, power will not flow through the system, even when the power button on the front of the computer is pressed. Pressing the side of the switch with the line symbol will rock the switch into the `On' position, with the line side down and the circle side up. In this position, power is allowed to flow through the computer, enabling the front power button to turn the system on and off.

If the line side of the switch is already down, rock it to the circle side, then back, to make certain it is fully in the `On' position.

We hope the above has helped, but if not, we stand ready to assist you, simply contact us as indicated above.

      Thank you again!

Seemed to be a decent system...

However.. I ordered it on Dec 6th, received it on December 13, worked like a charm until Windows updated on Dec 16th. Then it could not stay connected to the Internet for more than 30 minutes. After a couple of months, one of the techs said 'It's the motherboard, send it back' So I sent it back. I got it in February of 2017, and it was ok, until I needed to upgrade the SSD (128 Gig is not big enough to put programs on). Upgraded that, needed to get a new Win 10 key due to Motherboard replacement. Then in November of 2017, right before the warranty expired, the video card started to go. I contacted Cybertron and they replaced the vid card. Now I have random reboots due to a bug between Windows 10 and the motherboard. Honestly, the tech support is good, the machine isn't that good, or I just got the lemon of the bunch.

      Winterhart,

Thank you for choosing a CybertronPC Rhodium!

While we make every attempt to minimize the chance of issues for our customers, through careful selection of reliable components, expert assembly & integration, professional testing & QA, and robust packaging, there are still times when a system can develop an issue over time. This is true of any brand or product, and all we can do is stand behind our product and assist our customers when, no matter how uncommon, such events occur.

We would like to sincerely apologize for the issues your system encountered, and are still happy to assist you. In addition to the 1 Year Parts Warranty, your Rhodium has a Lifetime Labor Warranty, and Free Lifetime Technical Support.

Based on the information provided in the review, it seems as if most of the time, changes to the system - whether hardware or software - were when an issue began.

(Please note that modifying the configuration - such as changing the SSD - does *not* void the aforementioned warranties or support.)

Regardless of the cause, if you will please reach out to our Friendly Customer Service Team, we will absolutely do our best to assist you, and to make your overall experience with your Rhodium an even more positive one!

    Works very good but...

When I first got the pc, I plugged it into an extension cord and it wouldn’t power on. I moved it into a wall outlet, and it turned right on. Shortly after, I moved it back into the extension cord and it powered on just fine. Other than that, I don’t seem to have any issues with pc besides frequent crashing or freezing.

I cannot say anything bad about this pc! It’s runs good, no issues, been playing for over 2 month and it’s great! I played games like Dead by daylight, Friday the 13th, rainbow six siege, fortnite, overwatch, far cry, last year the nightmare... etc. and pc runs great! No issues!
