I wish I would've found these sooner. While expensive for what they are, there's a reason why: they're terrific solutions for cable clutter. I spent too much time looking at various plastic boxes designed to hide wires, and eventually bought this one. After having my electronic desk move up & down on my cords and even on my power strip; after having to hold my cords out of the way with my reacher while lowering my desk into place more times than I can count, I decided that I needed a box to put all my cords and electronics into, that would hold them all out of the way. I did not know if such a thing existed, or if I would have to buy a big tupperware box and carve holes into it. Lo and behold, D-Line beat me to it! They have just the thing I needed! This is a pretty simple product and it does its job just fine. For starters, it stores a lot of cables/plugs, and the side slots means easy running in/out of the box. The lid is likewise ingeniously designed to stay shut, even from prying baby hands. The D-line has not budged from its spot next to my chair, holding snugly onto the footrest underneath my desk. It was large enough inside for a 12-plug Anker power strip with offset plugs that give a little more room for today's big plugs. I even have the my laptop's bulky transformer in there, and a lot of cords (as can be seen in the pictures). You can see how much stuff I'm able to squeeze in and there's still room for more stuff. The slots for cables are at the top; and along two vertical edges on rear side of the box. The slots are effective, but to use the top one requires running the cable through the slot, which might be impossible if the cable is a fixed connection on both the device and the power cube. Luckily, I don't have this issue. I opened up the case several times in the first few days to see if it was getting hot in there, and it is not even warm. There are holes on the lid for ventilation purpose. It's a clever design overall. Imagine all of those electronics flying about willy-nilly, getting under the desk, being visible from the front and moving them all around when I raise my electronic desk. What a mess it used to be! I am so glad I decided that there must be some better way to organize it all, went looking for it, and found D-line! I've included pictures to show the end result, which was very successful. This thing is awesome. Highly recommend.

[PROS] Large: I own quite a number of surge protectors all of them fit inside except for one. The organizer box is large enough to accommodate not only the surge protector, but also bulky adapters that can easily be knocked over when they're unshielded. Considerate Design: The box contains large open slots for the wires to be placed through as well. I find these incredibly useful given that I invest more often in longer cords and the setup can be quite messy hence my need for an organizer box. [CONS] Unmountable: The box was design to set on a flat surface like the floor or a desk. This is a proper use case given the design. However, I would prefer for the product to have came with holes to mounting against the wall. This helps prevents accidental kicks or touches that could loosen adapter connections. It's not necessary, but I would greatly preferred for additional setup options. [CONCLUSION] The D-Line Cord Organizer is a simple yet useful box for cable management. It's not fancy, but doesn't need to be.

D-Line Large Cord Organizer Box - Black. I’ve got a lifelong interest in hobbies that all involve cords, wires, and multi-tap extensions. Whether it’s electronics for security and gaming, television and audio-systems, or computers, it is inevitable that a garden of accessories and their necessary cables begin to accumulate in the spaces behind the fancy cabinets. It’s funny how I’ve developed a blind eye to the growing nest, but they are not at all invisible to my wife. Adding to her frustration is how effective this tangle is at trapping dust and creating dust bunnies that resist vacuuming. A mess of wires and extensions is not safe. It’s unsightly. And, I can’t deny that when I eventually need to make a change or troubleshoot a problem, that disorganization drives me nuts, too.

This D-Line Large Cord Organizer Box is a very simple, thoughtfully designed solution. It easily swallowed my favorite power-strips and surge-protectors. It accommodates my single-line-up strips (up to 14”) or those with several rows of outlets (6.5” wide) with power bricks sticking out the sides. In its black version, it disappears into the shadows. There is no need to cut out slots for cables, as they are already in useful locations. Cables are neatly and safely tucked away in a ventilated box. I’ll be getting more D-Line cord organizers.

I have a mess of power cords, cables, and speaker wire behind my home theater cabinet. In addition, I have a surge protector that all of the components plugs into. In the past, I've looked at several different cable wrap systems, but this storage box by D-Line really looks nice and keeps the surge protector and all the power cords organized and out of sight better. It is made of a hard ABS plastic and appears to be very durable. The lid easily pops off so I could place my surge protector inside and then feed all of the power cords inside. I was concerned about being able to get to the surge protector when it is tucked behind the entertainment center, but the lid is large and easy to open. I especially like that there are quite a few small holes in the top for ventilation and 3 large gaps in the back to feed the power cords through. I didn't have any problems plugging all of the devices into the surge protector. I choose the larger size, because I thought it would be more versatile. Also, the black color just blends in so you don't see all of the cables and wires anymore. I am looking at another one for the back of my home office desk for my desktop PC and other devices. This is a really great idea and I can see other uses for it too. I feel the price is a very good value and I would highly recommend this organizer box.

    Organize Your Cables

You start off with one device and then you add another and before you know it you have so many wires and cables attached to so many devices that you end up with a mess. I have learned how to hide my power strips behind tv consoles and furniture in the den and living rooms, but the master bedroom got out of control. With phones, tablets, laptops, tvs, lamps, smart speakers, etc., I had a big ugly mess with no place to hide the wires. The D-Line Large Cable Organizer Box provided a solution. It is a plastic box with rounded ends that measures 16.5"L x 6.5"W x 5.25"H. I have all of my wires connected to a double row Power strip with 12 AC outlets and 2 USB. The power strip fit perfectly. However, I would have preferred that the ends be squared off instead of rounded. It seems to me that the rounded ends just created a larger footprint than was necessary. Once you have all of your wired and cables plugged in you can feed them through any one of 3 different slots which are situated at either end and in the middle. There is a top that fits tightly and gives it a finished look.. Overall, I am very pleased with this product. It is a simple product that does exactly what it was intended to do. I would recommend this product, however I would have preferred that the ends were squared off as I previously mentioned and I also think that the height could probably be lowered up to and inch. Both of these changes would result in a smaller footprint.

    Nice cord organizer

I was a bit nervous about trying out a cord organizer. I thought it sounded like a great idea but I was wondering if the organizer box might hold heat in and get warm with the many plugs inside. This is designed very well, with lots of ventilation points and after using it for 5 days, it’s been fine and not warm at all. This is stylish and helps hide all the messiness that comes with having lots of plugs in a surge protector. I was not aware that anything like this existed and it’s been a nice and stylish addition to our family room. This is so easy to use. I’m glad I got the large one because it fits perfectly with just a little space left all around. There is space in the middle and back sides of this box so that the plugs can fit nice into the box. Then the cover snaps in place. I face the part with the plugs hanging facing the wall so all you see is a nice looking container. Then you just use your plugs and surge protector as you normally would. I placed this on top of the tv stand and it looks nice and doesn’t look out of place there. I’ll most likely get a black one for the office space. I would definetly recommend this for anyone tired of seeing a messy area with lots of plugs on the floor. I usually try to find something that a user might not like or that I wish were different but in this case, I can’t think of anything that I would change or am not happy with.

Simple box hides baskets of snakes

This falls into the category of something you didn’t know you needed until you try it. Powerstrips and the connected power cords can create an ugly mess if they are out in the open or if they’re in a location where the wires get in the way. This product is a good solution for many cases like this. My worst “basket of snakes” is behind my A/V center, having to power a TV, soundbar, subwoofer, DVD player, Roku stick, and a digital antenna power booster. The central powerstrip makes it easy to power the entire cluster down, such as when we are on a trip, but it makes it hard to clean back in that area or even to access the equipment back there. I chose the larger box mainly because I wasn’t sure if my two-row powerstrip would fit in the smaller version, but in any case it was easy to get everything in the box and route the cables accordingly. There are two vertical “slit” openings toward the sides and one larger central opening where most of the cables should exit. The cover pops on and off easily in case it’s necessary to turn off the powerstrip or unplug one of the outlets. The result was quite good and might inspire me to do some more trimming and bundling of the external cables for a neater-looking installation. The product works for its intended purpose and I might even pick up one in the smaller size for another location in the house.

    Nice cord organizer

This cord organizer is a nice concept for those people that don’t like seeing cables from computers, TVs, etc. It is easy to set up, just open the lid and place your surge outlet inside with all your electronics cords plugged in, then put the lid back on. This large organizer was perfect for my room , I have a large surge outlet that holds my TV cord, router cord, internet modem among other devices and it sure makes the room a little more organized without seeing cables everywhere, the only that you will see is this bulky organizer box on the floor instead of a plane surge outlet with cords hanging all over. The product has a few areas on top and back for ventilation , just make sure you don’t overpacked the organizer with too many cords, only put one surge outlet inside for safety. I would recommend that if you buy this organizer, get it in black color, the white one is too noticeable on your floor unless you find a place to hide it behind a tv cabinet or computer desk, other than that is a nice way to keep your room organized

I'm hiding power bricks and cables

I am always on the lookout for cord organizers. I do not like seeing cables all over the place. I have used a couple on the outside of the house, not only to organize power cables but to protect them from rain and other weather. I never thought of using it for inside until I found this. Inside the house, around tables, I am fairly good at keeping things neat but I am always looking to improve. I wanted to see which power strips would fit. Most of the power strips I use in the bedroom and loft will fit except the obvious long ones. I decided to use this on top of my desk in the bedroom. The widescreen monitor I am using has a big power brick that is just below the monitor. The cable is not long it enough for it to sit on the floor. I have a USB KVM that also sits next to it. I figured this would work well to hide all those cables and power brick. The height fits under the monitor as well. There are holes on the cover to help with heat dissipation. I really like it and it goes well with my white table.

Great product. I have two areas is which multiple cords kept sneaking out, and the upstairs and downstairs vacuums often got tangled up. I bought two of these organizers, and they immediately solved the problem. As these come in different sizes, I'm looking for other areas that might potential risks.

    Solid Solution for Cable Management

Cable management is always a challenge with a computer, entertainment center or a garage. Finding a solution that is simple and is able to handle a good amount of cables is important. This organizer meets the requirements for my needs. This comes in two sizes but I have the larger box in black. I wanted to fit a full power strip. This handles that with additional room to spare which is important for cooling and air flow as well. There are two large openings in the back for the cables. The box itself is easy to open and close. I have pets as well so keeping the cables out of the way and wont allow them to chew on it is important as well. So far so good and the animals are staying away from it. The only issue is it cannot be fastened to the wall or another mount without a custom solution. The box is sturdy but can move if the cables are pulled or the box is knocked. The pricing is similar to other solutions and I would purchase another one if needed. Overall this is a good product and I would recommend it.

If you are like most people, you have a power strip or two under your desk with tons of cords and wires going to it. It is most likely a very ugly and jumbled mess and quite an eyesore. D-Line has made just the product to cure this problem. It is a simple molded plastic box that is meant to conceal this mess of wires. The box itself is well made and very solid. It can definitely take the accidental kick being underneath your desk and still be unscathed. The box itself can easily fit a power strip, even one of the double-wide strips, with ease. There are 3 entry points on the back of the box to run cables into the box. There are 2 on the sides, and then one directly in the middle. This give you all possible places you would need to route cables into the box. The lid easily pops off, but also locks into place so you wont have to worry about it popping off. For those of you worried about air circulation around electrical devices that can get hot. This has you covered as well. Apart from the 3 large holes in the top and back to run cables into the box. The top also has tons of little holes on either side to allow a lot of airflow to make sure you won’t have any overheating issues. I put just a regular power strip in mine and didn’t have any problems fitting all my power brick in as well as any extra cable as well. I could see if you had one of the double-wide power strips you might run into problems if you have a really large wall wart to plug into it, there might not be enough room on the side of the box to prevent having to really bend the cable against the wall. Unfortunately, I didn’t have one of those double-wide strips to test it with though. Just be sure to do some measurements before buying to make sure you get the size that will work best for you. Overall, I love this box and it takes what used to be a big eyesore under my desk and wraps it up in a nice neat inconspicuous package! I highly recommend it!

I chose the D-Line Large Cord Organizer Box in white. It's large enough to fit my 8 socket power strip and keeps the cords organized nicely. The white works best for my situation since I wanted to use it against a white baseboard and eggshell wall. It looks nice, much better than the power strip with 8 cords attached. The cords to my devices in my power strip route two different directions and were like spider legs on the floor making vacuuming around them a hassle. With this organizer the cords are all kept routed to the back along the wall cleaning up the area and makes vacuuming around and under much quicker, easier and safer for the devices and the cords themselves. This would help with keeping cords and power strips out of the reach of pets and small children as well. It is well vented so any heat generated can escape. There are no sharp corners to worry about. I like that these come in different sizes and colors to choose from. Ease of use, safety, organization, options. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Like everyone, I've got a couple tangled web of cords power strips behind the TV and under a couple desks. I really liked the idea of getting it to look a little more organized and dust free. The D-Line Large Cord Organizer Box - Black does fulfill this pretty simple mission reasonably well, but there were a couple of issues. 1) it is big. on the plus side, it easily swallowed up the relatively wide 10-outlet power strip behind my TV, but once set up, I wasn't sure I liked the large box any more than it annoyed me to see the power strip 2) it doesn't feel durable FOR ME. If you just put your power strip and cords in the box and never touch it again, it may be OK, but at my house, we turn off wifi, routers and large electronics at night. the easiest way to do that is to turn off the power strip. That would mean I'd be opening and closing the box everyday and it just doesn't seem like the D-Line Large Cord Organizer Box - Black would likely stand up to that as the plastic is pretty thin and deforms pretty easily to the touch

A great solution for those of us who want to keep things organized and neat! This large sized version easily fits a long surge protector with 8+ outlets to be placed inside with plenty of room for multiple charging blocks and adaptors. The unit is also tall enough where you can stuff extra cables inside whether that's the extra length from any cables attached to your surge protector but I also found that I can stash extra cables inside. I also appreciate the multiple holes on the back of the box which allows for cables to enter or exit at different directions depending on where your devices live. I was worried about heat build-up with multiple adaptors and power bricks being housed inside an enclosure but the vents on the cover seem to provide enough airflow to dissipate heat. My only complaint is that I wish it didn’t have the logo on the top cover. It’s the only thing that detracts from the actual goal of this in the first place - to keep things clean and organized. Overall a great product to stay tidy!
