I have twins and wanted a web camera baby monitor that would send sound and picture to my iPhone so that I didn't have to carry around a separate screen, and could see it when I am away from home. I looked at a dozen different web camera type baby monitors and went with this one based mostly on name brand, price, and the fact that while every other web camera baby monitor camera was plagued with horrible reviews, nobody seemed upset about this one. Must say I am very impressed so far. Easy to set up. Great picture day and night, great sound, very little lag. iPhone App is user friendly and the sound stays on all night. I've got twins so thought I might need two cameras, but with the easy to install wall mount I can see both cribs perfectly. The push alerts don't seem to be working - it shows an motion and sound alerts on the screen but doesn't ping my iPhone. Might just be my settings though, and with the sound on, I don't really need it. If they cry I'll hear it.

Very easy to set up and use. The picture is better quality than I thought it would be. The only problem I am having is the "auto" setting. In this setting the camera is supposed to be able to differentiate between normal (color) or night vision. For some reason the camera always displays night vision, making me have to manually change the setting to see the picture in color. Other than this I am so pleased with my purchase.

It works great for the intended purposes. The quality of the picture is great. The temperature feature is nice to have. The app could be a little better for the phone. Sometimes you have to re-find the camera and temp goes to C from F. It's pretty easy to setup though.

The only issue I have is the mydlink baby app. The app freezes disconnects and doesn't always work like it should its way to slow loading. With that being said this camera is great my husband can see the baby off shore

Purchased this camera for a "Puppy-Cam" so I could see puppies when out of town on business. Also allows out of State family to see puppies "live" The only issue I have found is does not hold settings on remote devices when you close application, also only works with Windows Explorer. Those are very minor issues compared with the ease of set up & downloading android apps.

I had issues with similar monitors until I ponied up and paid extra for the d-link. It was well worth it. The only downfall is no internal battery. I have a usb battery and see if it will power it.

D-LINK WI-FI Baby Camera DCS-825L Works Well

I purchased the D-LINK WI-FI Baby Camera DCS-825L on line on 09/21/2015 and finally had time to install it on 10/03/2015. I have 2 other D-Link cameras (DCS=5020L) that work well. So I have experience installing D-LINK cameras. With the D-LINK WI-FI Baby Camera DCS-825L the installation is done using your cell phone, in my case a IPhone 6S IOS 9.0.2. So with this information in hand I proceeded with the install. I went thru the on line install and it failed. I tried again and it failed again. So I called D-LINK's support line. I spoke with badge ID AR004214. After we tried the install from my IPhone it also failed. He inquired if I had an IPad. I do. So we tried the installed using my IPad. It worked!!!! He stayed with me on the phone call and helped in the setup. After I was able to access all my cameras on the IPad, I tested all cameras on the IPhone and 2 laptops and all is well. Thank you to D-LINKS badge ID AR004214.
It would have been appreciated if D-LINK had noted that the current install will not work with the IPhone.

I am expecting twins and purchased this camera instead of all of the baby brand ones at baby stores. Set up with my iPhone was very simple, as was the account set up to view the camera from the mydlink website. The 2-way talk on the camera works great and will be great to tell the kids to go to sleep when they get a little older. I also really like that you can play the variety of lullaby selections from the phone app, the down side is that there isn't an app for Windows phones yet.

New Software Update is TERRIBLE

I read the reviews online and they are all older reviews. This camera is no longer reliable AT ALL. I guess there was a software update over the summer and it's been sketchy ever since. Event alerts never work. Sound goes in and out (works one time and then not the next), picture freezes constantly, terrible time getting the wifi to work or recognize that the camera is in the room, motion prompted recording has never worked, etc. We traveled with this and 95% of the time we tried to use this camera it wouldn't log on to the camera until attempt number 20 and by that time my son was up from his nap. It is not easy to transport from home to home because of having to reset up the wifi and it not connecting, and it's not even reliable at home on the most used network. It froze when my son was napping and he crawled off the bed! I learned my lesson not to trust a video monitor! The only good thing is that since I bought this within the last year the manufacturer warranty will allow me a store credit to best buy when I return it. I just hope I find a reliable camera at best buy. I wouldn't recommend this camera (in it's current state) to my worst enemy.

Bought this to use in the nursery. Had other d-link branded networking gear previously so i knew it was a decent choice.
Packaging and instructions inside was minimal but adequate to get you going within a few minutes.
Picture quality and use in conjunction with the app was problem free. Worked as advertised and i felt price was fair since built quality was great.
