I was expecting more. I don't like this window conditioner at all.

I like it a lot perfect unit. It makes normal noise not a whole lot like another review indicates.

so all in all I had no real option for large effective area cooling for low price. I read about how the ac was noisy and didnt blow cold air but didnt believe it could have been any worse then the ac unit I had that died. so I due to the size of our house bought three Daewoo AC units with 5000 BTU, I expected this loud machine with low airflow and got three machines that cooled my house in about an hour to a temp of sixty five degrees from the 85 or so that it was previously. I dont know why the previous reviews stated that this is a noisy product its not. I am Extremely pleased with these units. the only thing I would have changed is the electrical plug has a built in surge protector that you have to trip back via the large button on the side before you can power the unit on.

It's not a bad AC. It's just incredibly loud! Honestly I have more complaints about it than compliments. It's loud (#1 complaint). The remote broke after simply putting in the batter (which I'm not at all convinced was supposed to fit anyway). The fan accelerates and decelerates a little at random. Oh...and did I mention that it was OBNOXIOUSLY loud!? Although...it does cool the room...but forget about watching tv while it's on if you have this in a bedroom.

I just received this unit on Monday the 14th of July. The other reviewers say it's loud, I however think that it's not loud at all. I've heard other air conditioners run and this is pretty quiet. It has an energy saver mode, which will turn the compressor and fan off once it reaches a designated temperature and then stops, this is my favorite feature. I've had no problems with the remote breaking. It's like an other small remote. I'm not sure why the other reviewer didn't call and return and get a new one sent. All in all it's a really good product. One last thing I wish it did have was being able to direct the airflow up or down, you can only direct left or right or some combination.

this air conditioner is super loud, both in fan and cold mode. I have to put on headphone to watch TV when i turn on the air conditioner.

After running this AC for one summer, it just broke 10 DAYS AFTER THE WARRANTY RAN OUT. I live in NYC, so I only have to run it 4-5 months out of the year, thus, it was running / worked for only about 5 months in total. This is unacceptable.

Good for the price does the job keep it nice and cool
