Customers are saying

Customers appreciate some aspects of the game's controls, but many find them confusing and difficult to master, especially during combat. However, significant criticism focuses on the game's visuals, described as outdated and lacking detail, and the unclear gameplay, with players reporting frustration over navigation and a lack of guidance. The overall experience is negatively impacted by these issues.

    awful

everyone giving this game an awful rating is absolutely correct, Damnation is a terrible and unlikable game. Graphically Damnation looks very last generation. The environments are dull looking featuring lots of squared off and blocky structures. Character models themselves animate stiffly and have that predominant blocky N64 look. Game is NOT a third person shooter but a strange Tomb Raideresque platforming game. Progress is literally being dropped into a new area full of buildings without floors, stairs, or other basic features that you have to jump around on like a jungle gym and often times getting lost trying to figure out where to go. Game seldom gives you any direction. Really annoying! Game is extremely unforgiving playing solo. Playing with a partner helps 1000% because there's another player present keeping you from restarting the checkpoint every time you die (which a lot of the time is instantaneous on the hardest difficulty) but the game is buggy especially in co-op and you will have to reload a checkpoint if you get stuck because of a bug that prevents the chapter from ending occasionally There's a lot of other things not to like about Damnation, but these are easily the worst of them from my experience. I agree with everyone else about this game, don't waste your money.

How can you rate a game that looks like it belongs on a legacy system. I rented this game for 5 nights and I am returning it after one. The graphics are lousy, the controls are very confusing and hard to use in a battle. The story line is not that great but, at least it is trying to follow it. Save your money and buy another shooter, like prototype.

All of the reviews before me are right. This game has horrible controls, extremely choppy physics, and is overall not fun. When it comes to story line you would have a better time watching a $5 movie.

This game was great once you get past the glitches

This is a great game once you get past the glitches. There are a lot of glitches in the beginning of this game. I found if you want to get past the 1st set of glitches & your playing co-op have your friend not play for awhile. At least until you get to the 1st set of enemies. You don't need him or her any way. The game will catch them up once you get into the elevator & flip the switch. If you continue playing this game you will see how fun it really is. There are 2 different types of motorcycles in this game. They are both fun to ride. The boost on it is very cool & it comes in handy when making big jumps. The graphics & the weapons are very cool. The controls are something to get use to. I didn't find them that hard to control as others on here did. The sniper rifle is great. I love the head shots. Sometimes you run out of ammo. Conserve your ammo well. You will need it. I loved this game. At 1st I wanted to take it back since it had a lot of glitches, but once I got past that it was a whole new experience. I love the sight thing your guy has on this game. You can heal your partner from any distance away. You can take multiple paths to get to the same place. The great heights your guy goes to is amazing. I recommend this game to any of my friends, but please get past the 1st level before you critique this game. I beat this game w/a friend & we absolutely loved it. I wouldn't mind playing it again & again.

    Dont buy this game.

Ok so I wanted to buy this game but i decided before i spend the 60 bucks for it i might as well rent it and see how it was. Well needless to say i am 100% thankful that i did that. This game has an ok sotry line and the graphics i guess are ok but the voice over's are awful the game reaction time is the worst and the way you go about using your weapons and such are the most confusing/worst. I was completely let down by the way this game preformed i mean blowing off guys heads with a suped (spelling) up shotgun is kinda fun dont get me wrong but when you did this and then your running away or running for cover and then you hear the gun shot.... But overall if you wanna try this game im not stopping you. All im saying is this is one of the worst games that I have ever played in my entire life.

This game is the worst game I have ever put into my xbox. This game is so choppy and the moves are rediculous. The cover fire is annoying. You basically have to stick your body out to shoot someone. This game isn't really a shooter. You do more jumping and falling than you will ever do shooting. Trust me if you try this out for yourself you have wasted a hard earned 60 bucks.

Don't bother buying this game...don't even think about renting it either because it'll just be a waste of your time. I played it for 30 minutes and realized I would have rather watched paint dry for 30 minutes.
