This film is amazing! it is impossible for anyone watching with family not to enjoy... Steve Carell delivers a great performance and the supporting cast adds to the fun! I love the plot and the way Dan's kids behave throughout... fun and more fun! watch with people you really like to be around, and you wont leave feeling jipped!

Extremely underrated movie. Don't expect laugh out loud, non-stop comedy. It definitely has its funny moments, but it is more of a drama that has sweet, sensitive aspects that is worth the watch and worth adding to your collection.

The movie has an early comedic twist and entertains you throughout the movie. The tension of the plot is relieved with nice comedic moments. Definitely a worth while movie having in your collection.

This movie is incredibly hilarious, witty and entertaining. Steve Carell's best performance so far! It is not action packed, but keeps you tuned in throughout the whole movie. It's a great character movie!

It probably won't go down as Carell's funniest movie but it was still quite good. Recommended.

Dan in Real Life is a well-thought out, yet lacking movie. The movie has great acting and a great plot, but doesn't keep the viewer interested. In other words, it just drones on.

My first opinion watching was thinking it would be funny. Wrong! There are a few laughs, but not enough it say it is a comedy. It is a good movie and would have been better if I would have been viewing it has a drama instead of comedy. Do not expect to see a comedy, just get ready for a good drama.
