works well in smaller bedroom than in larger one but does the job very quiet as advertised

The lcd screen is very bright at night...always have to cover it up. kinda loud...but cools down eventually

I used it in my camper and it keep us cool in 100 Temp

It is good for a small space. When counting BTUs consider 25% less. That will help to determine the room's size.

works good,only complaint is the exaust tube radiates alot of heat and the blower is positioned to where air goes in one direction and not straight like it should

Needs to be vented outside, so if it is for a large area, consider this first. Does well in a smaller space.

I absolutely love it. It cooled my room in seconds great for one room cooling and also for a car garage to do work in.

We purchased this unity in June and used it for about 6 days in our shop when it was so hot. The weather cooled a bit and we weren't in the shop for a couple of weeks. Yesterday, we went in to start it up and heard clinking noises and then something broke. There were pieces rattling around in the back of the unit because the compressor fan broke. We took it back and got a different type of unit.

Here in the Pacific Northwest A/C is a foreign thing to have. But these recent summer heat waves was unbearable. When this a/c went on a really good sale I jumped to buy it thinking I'm able to return it to a store. After receiving and installing the A/C Unit that thought hasn't crossed my mind since. Great for a small to a smaller-medium sized room. On much hotter days(90's F) half to most of the room is significantly cooler. Just keep the doors/windows in check. Reading the manual helped me install and operate with no snag. I'm keeping the dehumidifying drain hose connected to the unit to drain into a small bucket- but if you don't it has a warning light for a full reservoir. Love the On and Off timers! 8,000 BTU- measured a stable 740-750 watts on full fan with my meter. I think if I have gotten a 12,000BTU the unit would've been on much less but that would be spending twice as much for the unit. Very much recommend for a small room- maybe 16ft x 16ft would be a maximum I would cool with the Danby. I'm sure there's better Portables out there but this one is just right for me.

I tried this unit for a few days. It seemed to over hear very quickly though.

I use this in my room and it does take up a lot of space. Assembly alone is easy enough, but it does seem useless in a room when the weather gets colder.

I purchased this unit for the simplicity of it and it is that. The down side to it is, it never gets the room cool. It never gets the room lower then 82. I would not have bought it now knowing that. Room is 10x20

Very weakand does not blow air out and not ver forceful. Weak air flow and not very cold air.

This unit is ideal for smaller spaces. It's portable and remote control access is great.

Using it in a 350 square ft room when it was 85+ outside. The unit offers average cooling power. It cools the room but not as much as a window unit, better than just running it dehumidifier. Temperature dropped maybe 5 to 7 degrees. Cooled air coming from it wasn't nearly as cool as a traditional window air conditioner. I thought it would come close.

This the 3rd unit I have bought. my wife, mother and I all highly recommend

I have a small room, 13 x 13. It gets hit by the sun every afternoon and gets insanely hot. This a/c unit helps a little, but can't keep up with the heat.

Although a bit large units, it wore very week and cools the room fast.
