I haven't had this freezer for very long, but I am very pleased with its performance and appearance. I doesn't take up a lot of space, but holds an amazing amount of food. Temperature is easily regulated and accurate according to my thermometer.

At first we purchased a Frigidaire frost free upright freezer 13.8 cu. ft. FFFU14F2QW from Lowes. It was SO NOISY we could hear it at night in bed. It was in the basement and we were on the floor above. Got a refund, did more research, purchased this Danby. Glad I did. Quiet, even standing next to it. All freezers, will pull a vacuum inside the freezer when air cools and shrinks, making the freezer almost impossible to open for a minute or two. Perfectly normal! Don't worry about defrosting, unless you don't have AC and your house is VERY humid. We had a chest freezer for 45 years and only had to defrost 3 or 4 times in that period. This is a GREAT FREEZER, so far. Only time will tell. Nothing these days lasts for 45 years. But at age 72, I don't really have to worry about that. Also, this freezer was half the price of the Frigidaire!

The Danby freezer is a much better built freezer then the ones I was looking at in other stores. I read many reviews on this freezer. When Best Buy had it on sale with free shipping I did not hesitate to buy it. My concern was it was shipped buy UPS. There is no way one person is going to unloaded it safely. When the UPS truck arrived I found the freezer was sitting on its right side. It was like that for 7 hours. Hard to tell how it was positioned in the other trucks on its way to my local UPS. I help the driver get it out of the truck and told him to wait while I took the box off to inspect it. To my amazement the freezer was so well packaged there was no damage. I let it sit for a while before plugging it in since it had not been transported right side up. I checked it 2 hours after turning it on and it was down to -12 degrees. So far I am very pleased. The 5 year warranty is a bonus.

Arrived at my door in just a few days. Easy to set up. Hums along so quietly. All I had to do was plug it in and turn it on! Could not be more pleased with my purchase!!

It is the ideal size to store extra food in the garage without taking up too much space. It is easy to get in to and seems to have a consistent temperature.

freezer was delivered by UPS in perfect condition. Very well packed for shipping. Runs great. The five year warranty was also a plus.

Bought to replace a much bigger unit. Good interior space. Good vacuum pull down after closing.

So far freezer works great it is very quiet you can hardly hear it running.

We like to store meat in our freezer, this is a great little freezer for us to store meat & a few other things. It has a basket, as well as a divider to help keep things organized.

This freezer is perfect for home use. It holds a lot more than what you think. We have a family of 4 and it holds quite a bit of food.

It works well enough. Not sorry we purchased it. It seems to be a decent product (at least so far.)

The danby freezer is a very good reliable brand and well priced comparing to the other brands that is even less in quality

Freezer is working fine..gets very cold. unit came slightly dented. thought about returning it, but wasn't worth the hassle to cart it back to the store. Just watching the unit to make sure it continues to work
