Dated? Yes. Melodramatic? Yes. Dance, Girl, Dance still deserves to be seen Directed by Dorothy Arzner, the only woman directing in the Hollywood system at the time, this cinematic gem deals seriously with issues of female artistic struggle and self-actualization. An early film with Maureen O'Hara and Lucille Ball, both turning in stellar performances about friendship and ambition in an era of early show business that still remains ruthless and uncompromising.

I love Lucille Ball, so when one of her old movies comes out on blu ray, I’m thrilled. Thank you Best Buy for making this classic available and for your quick delivery.
