I have always loved this movie ever since I was a kid. I have it on DVD but thought upgrading for $5 to bluray would be worth it. I was not mistaken. Love the movie and would recommend it to anyone that likes classics.

Dances with Wolves is one of my favorite movies, the scenery, cinematography, story...all of it is quite wonderful in my opinion. I don't think it matters if you like or don't like Costner...the story is more important and I am glad he made this movie.

Movie is great (of course) which is a special edition with a few more added scenes; however, there's no extras at all on it. For some, that would be a major turn off, but I paid less than $7 for it, so it was well worth the price.

Loved the white socked wolf and KC WASNT to bad either. I wished they would have cast another actress for stands with fist but all in all this has become a modern classic that all should have in a well rounded movie closet. Cheers and enjoy this one again tonight!!

A great classic to own on Blu-ray. I've seen this several times and this version seemed extra long. Scenes I have not seen before made it appear to be a good 15% longer than what I remembered so you'll want to make an extra bag of popcorn.

I purchased for a Christmas gift for my parents because my father loves westerns. They had the movie already, so my sister took it. She said she had always loved the movie, but had never had a change to buy it. It was a win win situation. Great sale price too.

This is a great steelbook presentation 3 disc set. Tons of special features for an awesome film.

This is a longer version of the film, if it were VHS it'd be two tapes! The length doesn't hurt the story though. The awesome landscapes of this movie really are amazing on BluRay too. If you don't like 3 hours of movie, plan a break time to refil popcorn.

I've loved Dances With Wolves since it came out in 1990, but I hadn't bought the BluRay version because I was waiting for a disc-digital combo. I was shocked to find this at a Real bargain price. If you're into good cinema this is an unbeaten deal.

The bison hunting scene alone is worth the purchase of this on blu-ray. I had forgotten how many incredible scenes there were in this film, but that one stands out for me, especially knowing that there was very little CGI used for that sequence.

Great movie and love the digital copy! Now we can stream it anywhere and know that we have the Blu-ray for times when we don't have a signal or don't want to use the bandwidth! Top ten movie of all time! Five stars all the way!

This is one of my favorite western movies. It tells the tail of the western struggle for understanding of and appreciation for the Native Americans who were here first. Military solutions are often used when listening and understanding would be much better.

This academy award winner still holds up. Got this film for my dad as gift. The picture quality is great. Also I really like the Steelbook packaging.

Loved the movie (+the acting, music and the scenery) when we first watched it in the theaters in 1990. Did not like the ending, but it was realistic. It was on sale at Best Buy (BB), plus I had a $5 reward coupon. Great deal, thanks BB!

This is perhaps the best movie that Costner ever made. It is a great story coupled with stunning cinematography. This is not my typical movie choice but it is so well done and such a compelling story that it is worth the time to watch it

Long,........but the movie captures the essence and the plight of the Native American as the "white" man moved westward. The cinematography is spectacular. Must watch with surround sound especially for the buffalo hunt!

I think that this movie is a great movie. It is a little bit on the long side but it doesn't seem it is as long as it is when you are watching it. You will love this movie if you like history. Great actors and a great story.

I love this movie and how it portrays the struggles that American Indians had to face during colonization. I like the fact that the main character was assimilated into the tribal culture rather than the other way around.

I have enjoyed this movie many times before, however not in Blue Ray. Just had to get the Blue Ray for my collection. It is truly amazing how much clearer detail you are able to enjoy. Up grading to the Blue Ray was well worth doing.

long, but well worth it. if you haven't seen it, i recommend it. Costner does quite a job in his portrayal of Lt, John Dunbar. While fiction, it certainly captures the plight of Native Americans in the latter half of the 19th century.
