Another movie my wife loves, but me...not so much!

The Family enjoyed it - not my cup of tea though !

It was worth watching, but the books are so much better!

My wife actually bought this movie. She likes these sort of shows but it really wasn't my thing. Instead I would suggest picking up John Wick 2.

Not the pictured “orange cover” version and also not the 2 disc version. Best Buy has an issue with this.

We love any film that depicts historical events. This is one you will want to keep!

Though it's an older movie, it is a great one. Arrived in perfect shape (no dents or damage to the SteelBook). The movie played effortlessly. One of Kevin Costner's better films.

Seeing DANCES WITH WOLVES on Blu-ray recreated the experience I had seeing it first run in the theatre. This is a film that endures in every department. Not having the time to watch the film the day I received it I put the Blu-ray disc on just to check it out. I set it up with the second commentary track in which the director of photography and the editor recall their experiences. I was so fascinated with their comments and seeing the Blu-ray edition of the film that I ended up watching all four hours. This is a film that I would rank as one of the great classics of all time. As you listen to those who worked on the film tell of their experiences it soon becomes clear that this was landmark film for most everyone involved. For many it remains their favorite film to have worked on. The Extras match the quality of the film. They are worth looking at as they, like the film itself, are inspiring.

Dances with Wolves is a fantastic movie and looks great after 20 years on Bluray. There's a few grainy spots in the movie but there's only a few scenes the entire 3:55 runtime. So far this is the best transfer I've seen on Bluray by far. I own some movies from the early 2000's and they don't look as good as Dances with wolves and that was originally released in 1990.

If you like "The Searchers" then you will love this movies cinematography. It focuses on both the good and bad of Indians and Americans alike and wraps it up in a great story. I cannot think of such a moving western in my 40 years of watching except maybe "True Grit" (1969).

I'm not a history buff, so I can't pretend to know how accurate this movie is or is not, but either way it gives a great glimpse into a part of American history that isn't often told. More than that, it presents a beautiful picture of the building of trust between two cultures that are worlds apart. Ahead of it's time when it was made, the blu-ray makes this movie even better than it always has been.

Kudos to Kevin Costner (the Director) for having the wisdom to allow the vision of the original novel's author. All too often, directors want to change a story to meet his/her vision, and often fail. Kudos to Kevin Costner (the Actor) for providing us with a realistic portrayal of a Civil War-era western frontiersman. Beautiful cinematography.

My all time favorite movie ever! Finally in Blu-Ray, the conversion to Blu-Ray is excellent. Great price and superb quality!!!!

Three hours long, but I don't see how they could have taken anything out of this movie to make it shorter. This movie gave me a small glimpse of the lives of the Native Americans in the midwest before they were forced out. The music in the movie was very moving. My kids had not heard of it before they watched it, but liked it afterwards.

Amazing scenery, engaging story, attempt to use authentic locations, real native american actors, innovative use of subtitles in English while actors spoke Lakota. Hits straight to the heart of our historic treatment of native americans and the cultural gap between pioneers and native peoples. Costner was a better director and filmmaker than actor in this film, however! Won best picture!

A must-have classic film for all ages. I try and screen this every couple of years to keep it fresh in my mind and it never disappoints. Astounding cinematography and a terrific score.

Saw this ages ago (like 25 years) but never had it on DVD. When the BR showed up at BB, I had to get it. Great flick, still good after all this time.

It's easy to forget about this film because it's nearly 25 years old now. It still holds up quite well. And for $5 on Blu-ray, it's more than worth it.

I purchased this bluray completely for the new art on the cover but also as a gift for my father who loved this movie since its release.
