Al Pacino, Annette Bening, Jennifer Garner, Christopher Plummer - how can you go wrong with a cast like that? Danny Collins (Pacino) is a former rock star who receives a letter sent to him 40 years ago by former Beatle John Lennon. He abandons his hard-living style and seeks to renew his family bonds and find love. Wonderful story!

This is a very well thought out drama which will have you thinking and wondering about life changes and just what is really important in life. This is surely worth looking at.

YET ANOTHER OUTSTANDING ENTRY INTO THE AL PACINO CANON. THE STORY, WHILE ALMOST FORMULAIC, IS WITTY, FULL OF HEART, AND IS DRIVEN BY A CAST OF PROS. AT THE HEAD OF THAT CAST IS, OF COURSE, AL, WHO OWNS EVERY SCENE HE'S IN, AND SELLS THE PART OF AN AGING ROCK STAR WITH PACINO PANACHE. NO SOUR NOTES HERE!!!

I can't remember the last time I was more surprised at how good a movie was. The reviews were decent, but not great, so I wasn't expecting much, but it was a near perfect movie. One of Al Pacino's very best performances of his long and acclaimed career and definitely his best in the last 20 years.

This was a great movie, would recommend anyone to watch with friends or just alone. Another superb performance from the Pacino man.

Nice story that reminds you about the struggles of artists and the impact John Lennon had on a generation of performers.
