    Hell as it should be

My only complaint about the game was a couple frustrating jump sequences based off the camera angles. There have been numerous references to GOW and that is not a bad thing at all however it is easier from combat to puzzles than GOW and the "no camera control" is no different than GOW. I am on my second playthrough of the game just to know out the rest of my trophies as it is impossible to knock them out in one playthrough. It is easy however to locate all collectable items, there is absolutley no need to purchase the guide for this game, assuming you are one who would normally purchase a guide. You will have to play through the game atleast twice in order to max out both the Holy and Unholy paths, not a huge deal as the game is very enjoyable and worth playing more than once. Once you beat the game the first time you will unlock the Gates of Hell arena (50 levels of increasing difficulty that you have to play though in order to unlock that trophy). There is also multiple add-ons for the game to include 10,000 souls which is nice to start a game off with as this is what you use to purchase abilities based on the path you choose (Holy or Un-Holy), you can also download the Dark Forest area which is a medium difficulty puzzle Prequel you will need to beat to unlock 2 additional Trophies. Overall I very much enjoyed this game and would recommend it especially for those if us that are pineing for the GOW III release.

    The Inferno

The thing is, this came is not based on The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri its actually based on the Epic poem called The Inferno by Dante Alighieri.. Reading the Epic Poem prior to playing the game gave me more incite on the game.. Fantastic story.. Dante Alighieri actually had a dream of hell.. The game does go off on a violent tangent from the Poem where is just goes through the 9 circles violence free.. GREAT GAME!!!

    Cool Game

Very cool game, built in the God of War image. Does get repetitive at times, but that's probably true about most games. Good graphics, although it is pretty dark. Very much a M for Mature game.

    Diablo on Ps3

This game is pretty dang cool. I played Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 on the PC/MAC and this is pretty comparable to those games. The depth is not as deep as in customizing armor and what not, but traveling through hell and punishing demons is pretty sweet.

    GOW III tease

A lot of fun, but it really is a GOW ripoff. Hopefully Sony's getting royalty on this. Some of the scenes were great though, so it helped calm some of the GOW III fever.

Its was fun while it lasted. If you have young children watching you play, as i did, be ready to cover their eyes.

"Dante's Inferno" is a great game to play if you are a Achievement/Trophy hunter. I was able to Platinum this game in about two replays of the game. Although it does after you replay the game on Resurrection Mode with all your improved skills, the mere concept of the game is entertaining. A great buy for all action lovers.

    Great game but shunned

If Dante's Inferno was released maybe 2 years ago it would've received rave reviews but due to it's release date being so close to God of War III it has been frowned upon which is sad because it's a great game. As far as being a GoW clone I don't think it is. I don't see anything wrong with using a formula from a great franchise as long as it is done well and Dante's Inferno does that.

WAIT TILL GREED GLITCH IS FIXED!!!

This isn't much of a review but a warning to all that plan on buying this game. The game has a glitch in it during the Greed level. DO NOT SAVE DURING THAT STAGE UNLESS YOU HAVE HEARD OF A PATCH FOR IT HAS BEEN RELEASED!!!! If you do you will need to start all over!!!

I think this is a great video game by EA and a good follow up after Dead Space. Pretty good interpretation of the actual book too. Lots of discs features and soon to be downloadable content.
