I myself am a devout horror follower. To me it is more of a religion than real religion. To me and others that share my opinion, Dario Argento would be the POPE. Best known for his 1977 classis shocker, Suspiria, Anchor Bay's collection remind everyone that Dario is no one trick pony. He's a downright MASTER. While Do you Like Hitchcock? is the weakest entry here, it is still far beyond most horror films. It amazes me that Tenebre isn't on more top horror lists. An amazing movie that shows you why Dario is "the Italian Hitchcock." I am still amazed by the ending. Other highlights in this collection include a young Jennifer Connelly in Phenomena, and an the directors equally young daughter, Asia Argento, in Trauma. After a short hiatus, Il Cartaio (The Card Player) marked his return to the genre that he made famous, Giallo. Even if his name isn't familar to you, his influence definately is. From John Carpenter's Original Halloween to the current horror franchise Saw, his style has been respectfully tributed. This box set isn't just 5 scary movies. Consider it a film school in a box.
