Mechanical keyboards aren't just for gamers. This Das Keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches is a delight to type on. I bought this keyboard for work as I enter data all day and wanted a similar experience to my mechanical keyboard I had at home. For some people who are coming from a traditional 'rubber-dome', the Cherry MX Brown switches offer a similar experience to what they'd normally type on. The Das Keyboard is built very well and is a blast to type on. Some users may not like the slight added noise from the plastic-on-plastic key typing, but it's not as noisy as some other 'gaming' mechanical keyboards. I give this a 4 out of 5, with only a star taken off because of the non-standard lower left keys. With the control and alt keys different in size compared to standard keyboards, this may be difficult for touch-typists to acclimate.

This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I am very pleased with the purchase. The tactile feel of the cherry MX brown switches is pleasant, and the click-clack sound of the keys is nostalgic without the noisiness of blue switches. 2 usb passthroughs provide extra connectivity. Pricey but a quality product

This keyboard is superb. The clicky feeling lets me type extremely fast and very accurately, which is crucial for my work. The quiet click resolves the problems my coworkers had with my old IBM Model M, which was that I sounded like somebody "poured a box of LEGOs down a staircase". Expensive, but worth every penny; and they gave me nice free stuff for posting about it in G+.

Purchased this in hopes of using it for a new computer build in the next few months or so. I didn't realize how mushy rubber dome keyboards felt until I started using this! I chose the cherry MX brown switches after doing some research on mechanical keyboards because they seemed to be a good switch for both typing and gaming. This keyboard does not disappoint! A little expensive, but in my opinion, very well worth it! Just google "Das Keyboard" or "mechanical keyboards" and find out what all the fuss is about!
