The installation service for our new dash cam was excellent. The staff member was very professional and he will be the big boss there some day. I was very impressed with his blend of technical knowledge and efficient installation skill, combined with his excellent customer service and communication. BEST BUY MANAGEMENT: Take note of this young professional and invest in his future.

I felt terrible and canceled my dash cam installation this morning. Initially, my appointment was rescheduled to six weeks later because my car was a new model for them to examine some details. A couple of days before my appointment, I received a phone call saying that it would take longer, until 4-5pm. When I arrived on the day of my appointment, I was told that they would charge me $200 for the luxury car installation (front and back) and that it would be finished by 5-6 PM. I was hoping they would inform me earlier instead of surprising me after 30 minutes of driving there.

Install my dash cam and rear camera without a hitch I came back the next day because I was in happy with the placement of the dash cam and they're cheerfully installed it where it was less visible and I was also having a problem with the software not the cam and not the service the cam has a very wonky software but the technician took his time explaining it to me

Had a great experience yesterday with the install of my dash cam. They took the time necessary to get it done right, walked me through the use, and were very friendly.

They were behind schedule, and they couldn’t start working on my installation as appointment at 3 pm until around 5 pm - 2 hours late, and it delayed my time, and I did not get happy ending. They did not know how to install with hardwired for my car - 2024 Mercedes GLE450, and I had to accept using Cigarette port. They left the car door insulation strip detached. They installed the wire for rear dashcam incorrectly which could let rain running to inside my car trunk. I decided to go to a professional service and had them to clean up the problems and reinstalled the dashcam, even though the cost is higher than my expectation. I strongly don’t recommend BestBuy installation service.

The individual who performed my installation (I believe his name is Thomas but I'm the worst with names!) did a phenomenal job. He went above and beyond to make sure my dash cam got installed. They predicted 60-90 minutes and he got it done in 30, then made sure I was happy with the results. Overall a pleasant experience and I'm grateful for my tech!

The tech refused to do a hardwire dashcam installation claiming that because the car was an EV, it wasn't possible to do a hardwire installation and had to be via the OBD (a less clean install, but easier for him). He claimed that OBD is the only way to prevent battery drain. This is simply incorrect. Despite producing copious evidence that hardwiring is not only possible for my EV, but actually preferable, he wouldn't be moved. He wouldn't back his statement up except to say that he knew better than everyone else because he's been doing this for a number of years. That's the kind of attitude that would get me fired in my job.

The guys that did my installation were great. Very clean and nice installation. They didnt just slap it in wherever, they brought me out and asked where I wanted it and made useful suggestions. Vary happy with the whole installation team.

The installer was able to see me half an hour earlier than the online appointment time and was very friendly. When finished walked me through the set up and app while answering any questions I had. Took about an hour for him to install and gave me a call when he was finished.

The agent went above and beyond with the installation. There's a item in needed to buy but he work arund it so it wasn't required

Exercise caution before purchasing this service. If you would like your dash camera hardwired into your car's fuse box, not all stores provide this service, and you cannot call stores directly to find out if their technician is capable of doing this for you because calls are routed to a central call center where they do not have this information. Furthermore, not all common car makes and models are available on the online scheduling service. This means, once again, you must call the central call center. Prior to purchasing this, PLEASE, visit the Best Buy where you would like the work completed, ask if they still have an auto technician (Best Buy's system may be out of date), if they still have an auto technician ask if they can complete the work you would like them to do, and if the answer to both of those questions is yes, then pay and schedule in person. If they cannot schedule you in person, then, AND ONLY THEN, purchase and schedule your appointment with this product online using the closest make and model to your car available on the scheduler. I don't mean to hate on this, I had a great experience with a dash camera installation prior to my last experience. It just depends on the technician available in your store.

I was very impressed with my Dash cam install. Everything was done quickly and to a really high quality. They even took time after the install to help guide me through the app install on my phone to get the camera synced up and to test both cameras.
