As a person who has listened and bought many albums throughout the years, I have never anticipated the release of an album as much as David Archuleta’s. Even though some of the songs were leaked prior to the release, nothing could prepare me for actually listening to the entire album uninterrupted. David was correct when he said there is something for everyone. The simplicity of You Can is amazing and the harmony in To Be With You is exquisite. Falling is so deep and haunting it gave me chills. Works For Me is an up-tempo song that is one of my favorites. All of the songs add something different to the album and showcase David’s musical abilities. David’s gift for writing is evident in the songs he wrote or co-wrote and makes me excited to think about what he will do when given time to devote to writing. Congratulations David, Jeff & Jive for making “David Archuleta” an album worth the wait!

Wow! This young man is the real deal! He pours his heart and soul into each of the songs and has fantasic vocal cababilities unequaled by any other in the pop genre today --- and he's not even 18 years old! Listen to the AOL Sessions videos to hear this kid sing some of these complicated vocals to perfection--LIVE. Being still a teenager, he wisely geared this album to a pop audience. However, people of all ages will really enjoy the variety of songs and be able to identify in some way to each of them. With proper guidance in the early part of his career, David will be entertaining us for years to come, and we will all be the better for it.

Some of these songs are favorites in my entire collection -- David really shines at the sensitive/emotional ballads and "You Can" and "To Be With You" are hauntingly beautiful. That being said, "Barriers" and "Your Eyes Don't Lie" are quirky, fun and ridiculously catchy. I also love about eight of the other tracks -- some are pure pop and maybe young for me (I'm in my 30s) but I enjoy them, anyway. And there's enough beauty and complexity here to keep me entertained. Honestly, I wake up with a new one of the songs in my head every day. This kid is exceptional and I can't wait to follow his career.

This CD hasn't come out yet but from what I've heard from young 'Archie' this will be a great CD. I have heard the song Crush and it is a great song with very well done lyrics. Also have heard the song Angels as he sang it on American Idol. This will be the CD to get as I'm sure it will sell very well as will all his CDs to come. I will be buying this one as soon as it comes out.

After watching D Archuleta on American Idol I was curious to hear his first CD and he has hit a homerun with it. It is a great mix of pop up tempo songs and slower ballads. His voice is a smooth as silk. I believe he definetly needs to releae his version of Angels, he performed it on AI. It should be an instant hit for him and it is my favorite on the entire CD.

David's album is amazing! Every song has a different feel to it, and his vocals are unbelievable! What a great way to start off his career, i'm really proud of him....Love you David<3

This artist is extremely talented and I am looking forward to his future cds!!

David is great on ballad type songs- they should have let him sing more of that type on his first CD- the last two songs fit him well- the first 8 don't do his voice justice
