Not one of the best DVDs on BestBuy’s shelves
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed that this film was not remastered. Instead, this version is a cheap release of what appears to be a bootleg copy of the movie. Make no mistake: the movie itself is outstanding with exceptional acting and a relatively faithful screenplay, faithful, that is, to the Dickens novel. But this particular DVD release is a lousy reject. It is riddled with all kinds of visual defects that should have been cleaned up before foisting it onto the gullible public. The distributor should be ashamed to sell it.
