Most remakes these days are simply studios going back to the well for a few more dollars. However, with Zack Snyder at the helm (director of 300), this remake was as good as I could have hoped it to be. I'm a big fan of the Zombie genre, and I would recommend this film to anyone that's a fan of horror or action films. The DVD contains several featurettes that build on the world and round out what is happening during the days events. These additions, as well as several behind-the-scenes features, set the bar for what other special-feature DVDs should strive to be.

This movie is absolutely amazing and the picture and audio quality leave nothing to be desired. My only problem with this release is universals U-control which is a picture in picture scene access for the special features. Meaning, in order to view any of the special features you have to watch the movie with this feature on. I honestly can't say I am a fan of this implementation. Anyone who is a fan of the film, and how could you not be, would be happy to own this blu-ray.

I first saw this movie when ny friend let me borrow it. Once I was finished seeing it, I honestly had to go and buy it right away. Those who are looking for a great horror movie, look no further because you just found it. This movie never ever gets old just all the blood and violence in this is so sick you just want to keep watching. It keeps you at the edge of your seat the entire movie and the whole thing starts right away so there's no waiting for the non-stop horror.

I must say that this is the most gruesome horror movie I have ever seen. Flesh eating zombies killing humans. This is a great horror film. This is a unique film and its brutal to the eyes but I love it. I love horror movies and this proved to be one of the best horror movies i have ever seen. If you love horror movies you will definitely love this movie. Imagine flesh eating zombies walking around eating people; how sick is that?!

Action from start to finish with a mix of comedy. Don't buy very many movies these days with things like Netflix and such, but this one is a great horror flick worthing owning. Favorite scene is when they're playing the celebrity game with the gun shop owner across the mall parking lot. A must have for all you horror flick lovers. Plenty of DVD extra's included.

In short, I'm a huge zombie fan, and that's what attracted me to this movie. I really dig the zombie movies where they run or move quickly versus the slow moving, foot draggin zombies in other movies. As for comparison with the older version, I've never seen it. My advice, buy both. I know this movie is good, and enough people recommend the other to give it a shot as well.

This was a great movie. As long as you didn't compare it to the original like other fans try to do. It was almost like it was its own kind of story instead of a remake. The mall setting was the only thing that I felt that came from the original. Other than that I liked the cast and how they made the zombies.

the first zombie scene in this movie is probably the creepiest i have seen in a while. great movie similar to the game "dead rising" over all a great addition to your zombie collection, and this one has a good ending.

I remember saw in the theater when it came out I had the dvd must got rid of it now since it came out on blu ray I enjoyed it once again

this has to be one of the best zombie movies that i have ever seen in my life. the whole movie was entertaning, i would recomend this movie to my friends !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's not the original. Yes, they're fast zombies and "Fast zombies aren't realistic." But who are we kidding? Are any zombies that realistic? The movie is fun and it has some all right scare factor to it.

I bought this movie as I enjoyed it, and as you can see in my reviews, I buy a lot of movies. This was no where close too being as disturbing and moving as the original. That is not too say this movie is not good, it is a decent movie and has a good amount of gore. It just wasnt Romero good, but hey what really is?
