Great game but it lags a bit

The game overall has a great story and it handles very well. The zombies are very scary especially when they charge you as a hoard. The main issue is that it will start to lag a bit and sometimes even freeze a bit. The game I think is too much for the hardware in the PS4. But the game being good makes it kind of a afterthought on the lagging.

Sony Bend always has a way of surprising gamers with great releases that come off as an astounding game and story line. Day Gone does it again with a Last of Us vibe in a world struggling to survive. Fairly deep game play mechanics with the motorcycle being the at the core of everything you do. Definitely a great game that showcases the power of the PS4 in the later years of the lifecycle.

Days gone is probably better than what you've heard said about it, but thats only because its being compared (rightfully so) to all the amazing first party PlayStation exclusive games. Its looks pretty, is fun to play and has a lot of story and missions for the player to do, but it also has some bugs that hopefully get fixed soon, feels a little bloated and disjointed in the story. So not amazing, but certainly not bad.

This game doesn't deserve the low scores it's been receiving. Days gone does a great job putting you in the environment it's really fun to just explore I have about 10 hours into the game and have only completed 10% of the game. Very fun overall creepy at times first game that's made me jump in a long time. Buy it you will love it. 8 out of 10 overall with patches coming on a weekly basis to improve the experience.

So for starters Days Gone does not get as much credit as it deserves from game news media. It’s a open world survival game that places you in the shoes of Deacon, a former biker gang member that finds him self torn between helping others or keeping to himself for survival. The game starts off a little slow which is probably why people are hard on it. But if you give it time it ends up being a incredibly fun zombie game experience that I haven’t seen before. There are huge herds or zombies in the post apocalyptic world of days gone where you can fight up to hundreds of zombies at once. You will have to lay traps and maneuver your self so that they don’t corner you and rip you apart. The moment to moment game play is somewhat similar to last of us but with the zombies being much higher in numbers so it can vary from the last of us style gameplay from time to time but in a good way. If you haven't looked into the game be sure to give it your attention. It’s worth it!

The game is actually really fun and has lots to do in the open world they created. The game can be challenging at first, even on easy. When you get attacked by a horde it is very intense. The protagonist is kinda boring and his dialog is funny at times (not intentionally) but the story is pretty good. If you're a fan of open world games then you will enjoy this

I have had some time to play this game now to finally give a review. The story line is solid with real nice graphics. The open world was designed well and the game keeps you drawn in with a certain level of intensity. With a decent amount of zombie games out there now this one I would say is one of the best. Worth your time and investment!

Although this game has many glitches for a game that has been in development for many years it is still enjoyable. the story is like a mini movie and is interesting as well as the game-play is similar to dying light but not as superior. considering the lame games that have come out this year this one reigns over those by a mile.

After reading and hearing about how this game is not as good as some of the other Playstation 4 exclusives, I has lower expectations going in. I guess that was a good thing since I did had fun with it. I do agree that comparing it with the likes of God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Bloodborne or Spider-Man it is nowhere near that. The control of Deacon feels kind of sluggish. He moves with a weird weight to him. Not heavy like Kratos or light like Spidey. I did get used to it eventually like any other game you play enough of. The shooting is not great being a third person shooting game. It needs some serious work, but again I got used to it and just compensated with my skills. The open world is like any other game. Nothing exciting or new there. The motorcycle is cool. Having to manage it is not. The story is there to give you a reason to play, nothing more. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. I really hope they do get another chance at a sequel and fix some of the issues many people had with the game. The hoard mechanic of the game is awesome! Especially the first time because that's something not done much in other games. At least not to this degree.

    Incredible Experience

Very few games actually thoroughly engrossing me anymore, but this is one of them. Graphically, it looks phenomenal. Days Gone is just a really well made, deep, engaging experience all the way around. No, it isn't terribly original, feeling like the rural setting of Red Dead Redemption 2, the open-world layout of any Ubisoft sandbox game, and the movement and gameplay mechanics of The Last of Us decided to join forces, but it works. Sony Bend have crafted a beautifully desolate, disparate, ugly worldfull of morally gray characters and a main character that is constantly struggling with keeping any of his emotions in check in order to survive this new cruel, hopeless world. The professional reviews don't do the game justice and really understate just how powerful, moving, and richly detailed the world and story are.

It's an open world zombie game with motorcycles, what more can I say. The graphics hold up even when there are words of zombies on the screen and it is a very big open world. I only encountered some minor glitches here and there but they were not game breaking.

Days Gone was probably the best game I played in 2019. I loved every moment in this game (excluding the bugs of course). The story is good and the graphics are incredible, especially on the PS4 Pro. If you’re a fan of zombies I highly recommend you pick this game up and give it a try!

Good game for the price! Must have if you’re looking for a story driven action packed fun. Graphics are beautiful, and as stated by the others once you upgrade your bike fully; traveling becomes fun instead of a chore. Ignore the roomers and look out for this game on Black Friday.

Don't believe the negative reviews GameSpot or IGN gave this game, This is definitely not a 5, and a score like that does not represent what you actually get with this game. Does it start slow? Yes. Are there glitches and frame rate issues throughout? Sadly, yes. But that didn't stop me from having a lot of fun with this game and putting dozens of hours into it, giving me much more entertainment than I expected with this game. I was really invested in the characters and the world and the game tells a really good story if you play to the end. The mechanics are pretty solid, and anyone with a PS4 should give this game a chance because it deserves better than the "professional" critics treated it. Ignore the haters and give this game the shot it deserves.

Open world of zombies and human degenerates all ripe for the killing ... hey, it’s a public service. Enjoy the ride on your own personal fully upgradeable motorcycle. Save often, it has some glitches but can be resolved with patches from online. Overall great game that goes on even after the credits roll!

Wow! I didn't expect this game to be this good! I found myself unable to put it down because it's so engrossing on many levels. It has a nice RPG component, a beautiful open world and ZOMBIES!! What this does better than most is this amazing story line that ties beautifully into the landscape and it's chock full of surprises and opens up as you play when you didn't expect it. It reveals little up front and allows you to get involved. I found myself getting attached to the characters and their poignant story lines based on the reality of the zombie apocalypse. The voice acting is superb, the visuals are stunning (Helps to have a OLED/ps4 pro & no LED does not compare not even close) and the environment is hostile and at times so random your forced to react vociferously. If you like open world, motorcycles, zombies and an amazing story line get this game now You will NOT regret this experience... truly surprising for me..

Have is a lot of fun to play and takes advantage of its open world design. Story is a little disjointed in places but over all is good. The only real downside is there are some minor glitches and the menu is a little annoying to navigate but the glitches will most likely be fixed in a patch.

The reviews you’ve seen for this are mixed. Now as someone who’s open minded about everything can tell you that everyone seems to give a valid point! This games world is pretty big, not much to do once you’re out there. The graphics are pretty good for a game that size (world size wise). The hoards are an actual challenge!!!! The games difficulty is pretty solid. Nice variety of guns and Melee weapons, some characters aren’t that really interesting but it’s nice interacting with them. Now, the story itself of amazing so far! I have sunk around 45 hours leveling up and hoarding stuff and am around 35% complete. The pace of the game is pretty good and the tone of the game is very dark and gritty, and I mean dark dark. Like I said you might like the story, you might not. Last time I was this engage in a great game was with last of us. You should give this game a look! It’s pretty fun
