It's a solid game with a few bugs. They are patching some of the glitches, but this should have been done before day 1. Story is decent and gameplay is solid. Overall, its a good game but not great!

I’m about 15 hours into this and loving it. It’s got it all, open world, great story, stealth, crafting, great shooting mechanics, tons of zombies and bad guys, and motorcycles.

I kinda feel like this game only felt like it wasnt as good because of how hyped and built up everyone made it. To me its a really good game but should be a 49.99 game not 59.99. It has a good story, good sized open world lots of quest/side quest. Building the bike is great. The graphics I feel are more on par with State of Decay 2 than other better graphical games and im on ps4 pro. Ive noticed a few glitches but not many. My biggest con would be the character models are reused alot. The main characters have unique modles but every other character model is reused alot same with there animations. Definitely worth buying and a playthrough though.

Largely underrated game. One of the better open world games I’ve played. Good story with a great ending.

I've been waiting for this game since it was announced, and oh man the wait was worth it. It has become to one of my all time favorites, new and great playing mechanics. Its great to see how at one point you mal feel like you will never defeat even the smallest horde but then you start to upgrade your weapons and characters and you can face the biggest hordes. Open world, gives you the sense you are pretty much inside the game living in there. Totally loved it.

Awesome ground work for a very fun survival horror type game, just needs a little more bug patchnig work and updates, game will be great!

I was hoping this was the next The Last Of Us game. Though it is not nearly as good you can see hints of inspiration from Naughty Dog’s storytelling. Most of the negative reviews say that this game is too repetitive, shooting doesn’t feel good or the game is glitchy. Although I can’t argue with that it’s still a pretty decent, if not good game. It has a great story, plenty to do, good graphics and facial animations. The bad guys are genuinely scary as a horde and the weapons are varied. The world is huge and it’s not like any other zombie game. I give it a 8 out of 10.

This game is very similar to most other open world games on PS4. It has elements of Last of Us, Red Dead Dedemption, Horizon Zero Dawn. The game play is really fun. I am about 15 hours into the game and dont have any significant complaints. Is it perfect, no. Is it fun, yes. I have seen complaints about the story but thought it has been good so far. Some of the missions are repetitive, but every open world game I have played has similar game play and missions. With all that said, I would likely wait for it to go on sale and you will be more happy with the purchase.

Do not listen to ign. This game is a masterpiece. I have been playing this game consistently everyday which is rare. Graphics are great, gameplay is great, it's cool that you get a bike to customize too, it makes it feel like it's yours. Open world with a lot of variety and overall just really fun. I'll have fun just hunting zombies and not getting bored. If your on the fence about this game, try it for yourself or watch videos about it. Do not listen to the negative reviews. It's my personal game of the year.

Days Gone is loads of fun! The world feels alive and dynamic. This is one of the few games that I avoided fast traveling in because there was almost always something that happened while traveling from A to B. The story is decent and a bit predictable but throws just enough curveballs to keep you on your toes. The overall structure of the story lines from main missions to side missions has a clear layout so you can keep track of what is happening in each one. The combat feels good especially the melee weapons. As far as guns go, don't expect a rifle in poor condition to perform as well as one in mil spec, especially in the case of accuracy. The game also has a terrific music score and good sound design in general. If you aren't someone who likes to read documents or listen to audio files then you will miss out on a lot of details that build onto the main story and the Days Gone world. These are some of the small details in Days Gone that I've seen a lot of people miss and complain about. The character development was one of the things that surprised me in this game. It's not too often that a story manages to get me to move back and forth on my opinions of it's characters but Days Gone managed to do that with almost every one of them. My biggest complaint about the game is the side missions just don't feel as good as in other big AAA open world games of recent years like The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption II. I only encountered a few bugs in my playthrough and I even got the platinum trophy. One consistent issue that I found really annoying was a choppy frame rate that was especially bad in certain areas of the game. I am playing on a base PS4 though and I’ve been told from people who play on a PS4 Pro that they didn’t experience any frame rate issues. Overall I really enjoyed my time with Days Gone. It's not a perfect game but in my opinion what it does right outweighs where it fails. The studio has worked hard to patch out bugs, provide updates to improve the user experience and even add new free content in the way of challenges that add some replayability to the game. I hope to see a sequel in the future as the world of Days Gone has a lot of potential. 4 out of 5 stars.

Days Gone is an amazing game. The open-world action adventure game, will keep you busy for weeks! Where other post apocalyptic games are set in dingy buildings and space ships, Days Gone is set outdoors on the broken road. As Decon St. John, you're riding your motorcycle and fighting infected hordes. My favorite game!! I have given copies to many friends and family.

Game represents the best PS4 has put out in the zombie genre. Along with God of War, this fallw easily in the top ten greats of the last 2 years. The story carries itself well with enough time to build your character up but not roo much that you feel like your grinding for resources. The balanced resource system, bounties combined with enough varying gameplay tactics makes for a truly immersive experience. It steps out of the bound of nornal gaming into the realm of experience and virtual realism.

It might be that I don't necessarily identify with the whole biker idea. It is a good game so far. I wish there was more "content" for the casual gamer. You can get lost in the game pretty easily without doing a lot of progress, and if you only have a few hours a week to play it might be hard to get engaged. Story and gameplay so far are great, and playing on the PS4 Pro with a nice TV feels like watching a nice movie. I was expecting something more like The Last of Us, and while it delivers some parts, the progression seems a lot slower.

This is a good game that could have been great! I like the story but the controls for this game are different and buggy if they fix the controls the game will be better for it. The main issue is the touchpad functions saying they are buggy is being nice. Its a shame they didnt fix this before release. This is another reason that used game sale will plummet because of games being released to early and having so many patches and updates to fix issues that should be fixed before release. Just another way to get money later I'll Bet! Thanks!

I haven't gotten the chance to get around to this title yet, so I'm writing this review based off my girlfriend's opinions on it. She liked the game contrary to some negative reviews this game had gotten. The gameplay is great and the open world setting is nice. Don't expect a great story and strong characters akin to the first Last of Us, as both games do have similar settings, but it'll be enough to wrap you in. Overall, a great and fun game I'm told.

Such a fun game! Sometimes a little glitchy and I had to restart saves on more than one occasion due to enemies that should be in an area not being there. Hopefully, they're working on updates to fix this. Other than that I had so much fun with this game. Straight forward storyline with a few surprises and the gameplay was exciting and interesting. Keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I went into Days Gone a little blind, all I knew was that the guy had a motorcycle. I had no idea it was a zombie/survival game. You have the opportunity to upgrade your bike, buy different guns, and travel all around the open world. If you're not a story mode person, or you like post-story content, this game is incredible. There are a ton of missions post-story along with a very fun and intense Challenge mode. Great game and great replayability

This game is a great zombie open world game, the hordes are something that separates this game from every other open world game, or any other game for that matter. Story is long but good and good voice acting. Trying to complete all side quest may extend gameplay to the point where it can get boring. I recommend finishing the main story first and then completing side quests at leizure.

Decent gameplay. Very, very hard if playing on difficult setting. Starts out slow but picks up quickly. Character movement is lacking. However you get use to it. With that said its unique gameplay. I have it on ps4 pro which I recommend. 4k and a Yamaha surround system makes this game come to life. Parts of this will literally make you jump from being surprised by the freakers(zombies) or whatever else.

If you love day z or the walking dead this game is a must play. Huge open world, great story , and fun gameplay
