I’m enjoying this game so far. You are a biker surviving after the zombie apocalypse. The motorcycle mechanics are well done as is the combat. The zombies or technically infected here, are no threat one on one but in groups or even worse hordes the only way to survive is to run. Like all open world games there is some repetition mission wise but if you like zombie games this is a must have.

Open world zombie game, with impressive giant (and unbeatable- RUN!) zombie hordes. That’s about it, it’s got a lot of content (as you do in an open world game) though a lot of it is repetitive and sloggy- I feel like this is the descendant problem of the ridiculous difficulty of the 8 and 16-bit eras; “adding a ton of samey content to pad out a game” is the new “making a game ridiculously difficult to show value.”

Whether it’s following the storyline or exploring the open world doing what you want to do, this game is fun. Taking on marauders, freakers (zombies) or building trust with camps, this is a great way to get rid of stress. Load up on ammo and hit the road...just beware the hordes in the early going until you have better weapons. Now, back to gaming.

Better than expected. This game is a awesome game. Good story, good action and good gameplay. My favorite part is killing the massive hordes. In the beggining the hordes are a little bit small but they get bigger and harder to kill as you progress through the campaign. Also the game have a few difficulty options from Easy to Survival 2. (That is brutal)

I'm not sure I would pay full price, but it was the "days of play" sale (best time to get anything Playstation) and I enjoyed it when I rented it. It's got a pretty engaging story. It's what it gets knocked for and is pretty underrated. It's not going to win awards, but it's fun to play. Riding around on a motorcycle and facing off against these freakers who are much smarter than your average zombie. Extremely formidable in packs kind of like wolves. Speaking of wolves. They have those who literally take you to the ground and tear you to pieces. I think where it lacks is a less than exciting combat system as you constantly roll instead of parying or blocking attacks, but still fun. It's other weaknesses is that with a motorcycle being not just a mode of transportation to get to point a to point b, but a way to survive, the turning seemed a bit loose and I'd be constantly overturning past roads and into trees. It's going to be a bit of a learning curve to really get a feel for those winding roads. It's also incredibly beautiful landscapes as it completely captures the heavily wooded and mountainous peaks of the northwest. The thing is with what seems like really large flaws, is it has enough ranges of missions, different types of freakers and this cult that worships those freakers it keeps you on your toes and plenty of surprises; you very rarely are finding nothing to do and you really need to manage your resources for a fun adventure. That's how I'd best describe Days Gone. A very fun ride!

The story is immersive and better than I thought, and the gameplay is similar to The Last of Us. The gunplay is a bit awkward but I guess they designed it that way to keep players from getting too comfortable. This game deserves more attention than it's getting, plus there are free dlc within the updates that give the game more worth than I expected, definitely worth buying.

I did not have high expectations when starting the game but I am really enjoying it 20 hours in. The graphics and controls are great, the story is intriguing, and there are little intricate details that help immerse you into the game's world. I typically don't enjoy open world games but the story is intriguing enough to make me keep playing. I also enjoy the setting.

Days Gone is one of those games that you should purchase just because it is a console exclusive but on top of that it is very enjoyable. Minus all of the bugs, which is why I’ve given 4 stars, they have been fixed through all the updates that have been released, it’s extremely entertaining. Overall, a game worth earning all the in game achievements. It does have an awesome, submerging open world to explore.

This got middling reviews when it was first released, but as far as the overplayed zombie apocalypse genre goes it's really a pretty good game. I meant freakers, not zombies. That's a terrible name, btw. Likeable characters, decent story, gameplay is fine. It's a B+ game that knows it's a B+ game. I guess it was just too similar to other games for the mainstream reviewer crowd.

Got this based on the trailer. Controls seemed kinda clunky in the beginning and there were some glitches. But once it glitches going and I got used to the controls I really got into this game. Adrenaline rush for sure. Lots of different things to do to keep things from going stale. Highly recommended. Sort of GTA meets Last of Us.

I almost didn't buy Days Gone after reading the middling critic reviews for it. One thing I noticed after some time had passed though was a common consensus among the consumers: the game at and beyond the halfway point is a different beast than what it is towards the start. In other words, those who stick with the game for more than a few hours are rewarded with something solid and thoroughly enjoyable. It was this opinion that swayed me to buy this game, and I have not regretted it since. I will admit, there are faults: the AI can be laughable, line delivery has mixed results, gunplay is serviceable at best. The greatest offense is the unrewarding exploration; I've had zero incentive to explore when the rewards are only ever more resources, which I'm always topped off on. However beneath these flaws is an interesting story, relatable characters, a tangible progression system, and fantastic atmosphere. What keeps me coming back is a fun world to drive around on a motorcycle that handles pretty well. I really enjoyed taking on jobs for camps, scavenging for resources, and most of all clearing hordes. It gave a strong apocalyptic vibe - something that I haven't seen much of this generation, despite Days Gone widely (and I think unfairly) being derided as "just another zombie game." Give this one a shot. There's enough here that sets this apart from other titles in the zombie genre.

never, ever, listen to game journalists or critic reviews. They're the reason I waited so long to buy this game. I can tell you that all the negative reviews this game originally got are unwarranted, this is a game that got me back into playing games. Literally 6 hours at a time, very engaging story and worth every penny.

I have been playing this game for 2 weeks. If you like a game with a beginning and ending, this is for you. You can upgrade or modify your weapons as well the motorcycle. It is part RPG, action, and adventure. It is a cross between Uncharted , motor cross, and the walking dead.

This game is so underrated. The story is fantastic and the zombie hordes are fun to kill. it does get a little repetitive in some of the missions, however, you don’t have to complete all the side missions to progress in story. Definitely hours and hours of fun. I highly recommend and I’m looking forward to part 2.
