This is one of my favorite animated Batman movies. Whether or not you've read the graphic novel, any Batman fan should enjoy this. The Dark Knight Rises movie drew some inspiration from the graphic novel this was based on. This move is a bit gritty and violent, so it's probably not best for young children.

If I could give this Batman movie 31 stars, I would (bonus points to those who know why that number is significant!). This movie is the perfect animated version of one of my personal favorite Batman stories. It's cinematic brilliance in its purest form, and the best animated DC movie I've seen to date. Definitely check this out whether or not you've read the comic!

This one takes the cake for me! for being an Animation film I was blown a way! Thinking it was going to be very childish and a little goofy I was VERY wrong. I can say i liked this better than ANY batman film to date. Well made, Well produced, Well casted for the voices. The story line and length made this gem a must watch and a must own Batman! Well done guys!!!

The Dark Knight Returns is one of the greatest, uf not the greatest, Batman story ever told, and this animated movie brings the graphic novel to life from the style, look, feel and portrayal of every character. Aside from some very minor changes this is one of the better Batman movies, I would 100% recommend it to a long time fan or a new comer. The one thing that did bug me was the similar look between the BluRay/DVD combo pack and the 2 disc BluRay, other than that it was a great movie.

This is not a movie for kids, which isn't a problem. If you're lookin for a dark, well written and acted animated Batman movie, you found it. This deluxe version has parts 1 & 2 combined into one full, intense, and action packed movie. Loaded with special features and a Frank Miller documentary you really can't go wrong with buying this. Highly recommended.

For all comic book fans who watches the DC Animated movies on blu-ray - if you do not have TDKR on blu-ray, than this is the perfect opportunity to purchase it! Whoever purchases this movie at $9.99 will definitely enjoy their decision! This movie is 2-hours+, which is longer than most DC Animated movies. TDKR Parts I & II for $9.99 is an absolute STEAL!

I really enjoyed this animated Batman film. Just as good as Year One if not better. The story is amazing. The voice work is great. Notice Lazlow from Grand Theft Auto as a talk show host in this film. The animation could have been more realistic and less cartoonish but it was not bad. The animation gets better in Part 2. Really enjoyed the entire film.

I was blown away with this movie! It is really good! I love how they released this feature all together instead of the part 1 and part 2 sold separately. Great story and great behind the scenes come included with this package. Some parents might want to watch this beforehand due to this film having a lot of adult themed material. It is dark.

The Dark Knight Returns is a fantastic movie for Batman fans old and new. It's very faithful to the source material and contains quality actors, visuals, sound design, and overall tone. If you enjoy anything Batman, you owe it to yourself to watch this film unless you prefer the original comic book version.

At first, when I saw clips and a trailer for it, I really wasn't up for it but than I saw it at Best Buy for a good deal - took a chance and was really surprised at the way this movie was & how it was adapted straight from the comic. "FaNTasTiC!!!" & " EpIC " movie . Great buy and won't be disappointed

Awesome Blu-Ray! I admittedly never read the graphic move this is an adaptation of, but this story is excellent. Portions of this story were adapted into plot points in the recent Batman vs Superman movie. This Blu-Ray has parts 1 and 2, so it is the version to get! Highly recommended!

I waited for the entire both movies to be bundled and it was worth the wait. If your the fan of the comic book then you'll love the movie. I only wish they would have gone with a different voice actor for bats but other than that its amazing. A must for anyone who follows the DC universe animated movies.

The Dark Knight Returns adapts the comic of the same name and very faithfully so. I felt it captured the more adult tone of the graphic novel extremely well, with a pleasing soundtrack and outstanding voice cast. Highly recommended for anyone who's been a long time Batman or comic book fan.

Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns really makes room for a whole new way to enjoy animated films. Peter Weller did a great job, though I preferred Kevin Conroy as most would agree to voice the Dark Knight himself, still Weller has a new and likable approach that can definitely be appreciated.

Does a good job adapting the source material to the screen, but can't live up to the original Frank Miller graphic novel. The original was ground breaking and influenced the entire comics industry, so there is no way this movie can live up to that. Includes a great full-length very informative documentary about Frank Miller and the creation of the graphic novel - worth it just for this documentary.

One of the best Batman graphic novel in movie form, definitely pick up the deluxe version and be careful the picture here pictures blu Ray plus DVD but that's a lie, that's not what you will be sent, that's what happened to me and had to spent an hour in store getting it fixed

I purchased the individual Parts of The Dark Knight Returns to get the Best Buy exclusive figures. I don't regret that decision, but if you haven't picked it up yet THIS is the way to go. Especially if you are already familiar with the story. If not, you are in for a great ride....

By far the single best story ever written about Batman. Frank Miller redefines how we perceive the Dark Knight and opens up a world most of us do not question. Like, what happens when Batman gets old? The cameos from some DC stalwarts add some fun variables to the equation.

TDKR has got to be one of DC's greatest treasures; the depth of the story was great & the fight scenes were very raw, the animation was top notch & the characters were unique in their own right. Frank Miller was the right person to create this great portrayal of The Dark Knight.

I never read the graphic novels and was excited when I heard that it was getting an animated release. I really enjoyed this story of Batman as it was a more adult oriented one. If you enjoyed the animated series, I would suggest watching this. You will not be disappointed.
