If you have played Dead Island, you won't have any problems play Riptide. Basically the same game with a few new Zombie types and "dens" that you have to clear out. Lots of side missions to play as well. Worth the time if you are waiting for the new release of something else.

Great game, better than the first Dead Island! One great feature is that you can transfer your old character and their skill level to the new game, or you can choose a whole new character. Fun game, loved it!

Good game, difficult to pick up at first but a great zombie game.

I really enjoyed the first Dead Island and was extremely excited for this one. Graphics and story line are great. This game is also more difficult than the previous one.

Being a huge fan of the original Dead Island, I can definitely say that this was a great continuation of the story. All of the mechanics that drew me into the original game were present in Riptide. The main downside to the game is that with everything remaining consistent, no real game changing differences were made. Still an overall good game though.

the story is great if you played the first dead island, because u can import any of the character from the first one to dead island riptide, which is great, hope thy put a update to make the levels higher, then level 70. and i hope a dlc is coming soon to riptide, but until then i guess you can level up all 5 character in the game.

Although there is a lot of fun to be had here assuming you like zombie games and are a fan of the first game, about halfway through I found a lot of game breakers. And playing co-op is also hindered because of these glitches, making for an unplayable game overall. Too bad, the first game was also flawed but still playable.

This game plays almost the exact same as the first game, which is good if you like killing zombies. It's a pleasant change of pace from all the first person shooters where you just blow everything away. Although there are guns, the majority of weapons are objects you find on the ground such as knives, maces, and grenades.

A lot of action and zombie interaction. Keeps you on your toes.

I did prefer the first Dead Island but this was a good sequel and I did enjoy playing it. Some upgrades in graffics and gameplay but definitely not a total overhaul. Fans of the first game, survival horror and zombies in general should enjoy this game.

Overall game is fun, worth the discounted rate I purchased game under. Quirks in Game: Lost volume on my TV when I was on the Navy Destroyer on two separate occasions, game froze a couple times, on a few separate challenges, the zombies would no proceed to the building the group of survivors were in so I could not proceed forward to complete mission (all entrances to the building had flames in them so I could not go out of the building either) and was forced to close out game and start mission over which I completed successfully the second time around.

I enjoyed playing the first Dead Island so I bought this one too. I didn't realize it would be about 95% the same. The only differences are the location and some new characters. However you do play as the same characters from the first game. I guess I just thought it would be completely new people and a new location with references to the first game. Not a bad game to play though if you enjoyed the original.

I'm not a big gamer so this was more of try and let's see how it goes. The game moves along pretty good but it's probably not challenging enough for the "serious" gamers.

Picked this game up cheap while it was on sale and I have really enjoyed it. I am currently 89% on the main quest. It is a basic RPG style zombie game. One neat part is the ability to customized you weapons with items found throughout the world. Good game for the price!!
