Those expecting a brand new iteration of DOA, will be disappointed. This is basically a port of DOA5. HOWEVER, if you're a fan of fighting games like I am, then it's worth the upgrade. Of course the graphics are pretty (let's face it, it IS a next gen system), but the content is what makes it worth the buy. New characters, costumes, stages, and TONS of DLC. The other cool thing is you get a massive amount of DLC free with the game to begin with. The story is exactly the same which was kind of a bummer, but over all I was pleased.

With all of the "Definitive" versions of last gen titles popping up I was unsure exactly how much of a upgrade this would be. Unlike other titles (Sleeping Dogs) it is immediately clear that improvements have been made.
To begin the graphics are much improved the game now runs at 1080p and the textures are much improved. The lighting system seems to have received a total rehaul and the everything looks much better. Several quality of life changes have been added to the character select screen and new hairstyles have been included.
It should however be noted this does NOT include all previous DLC costumes. There are a fair amount but nowhere near all of them are available.
If you are a DOA fan I highly recommend this, if you enjoy fighting games there is a lot to enjoy here.

If you are a fan of the DOA franchise then you will definitely love this game for the fighting mechanics. The story however seems to be hashed together and just an extra mode thrown into the game.

Graphic improvements from last-gen are evident, but otherwise, you've played this game before. If you like Ultimate, you'll like this. Now that most of the bugs are fixed, the game is playable.

If you are a fan of the series, there is no reason that you shouldn't pick this up! Lots of new content for next gen consoles, and the game is just a blast as always. Pick this up!

Too much DLC

Fun game, but it offers way too much DLC. Game has giant ad in the main menu for the more than $100s worth of DLC available on day one. It's all costumes, so who cares? Also the game has online problems that causes the game to crash constantly. Can't currently play in online lobbies due to bugs.

The best version of Dead or Alive 5....

This is easily the best version of Dead or Alive 5, but not without exception. It's more of the same game that was released in 2012, but with more characters, backgrounds, and a new coat of paint. I really like the game, but it does come off as a bit of a cash grab if you've bought other versions of the game.
With that said, after 2 patches, everything looks and plays great at 1080p 60fps. So at less than $40, I'd recommend it.

Being a big DOA fan, and already having an early copy of this game on Xbox360, I wasn't sure about a repurchase just for my Xbox One. However, with Mortal Kombat over a month away from release and KI as my go to fighting game for months now, I am glad I made the repurchase. DOA Last Round adds a few new characters, outfits and arenas in with the solid fighting mechanics and lengthy story mode of the originally concepted DOA5 game. As a 40 dollar purchase or even greater value if you have Gamers Club Unlocked, this could definitely be a worthy fighting game to own and enjoy.

this game only gets 4 stars because there's no additional contents beside a couple new characters. No new outfits or additional side missions or fights. It's the same exact game as doa ultimate. To me, the graphics are the same as your old 360 or PS3. But for $40 it's worth buying if you're a true doa fan.

I own the 1st 2 editions on the XBOX360 and this edition is pretty much the same exact game with the exception of a couple new forgetful characters and a new stage or two. The gameplay is still as fluid as ever with great controls. If you are a fan of fighting games that don't have a grueling long learning curve I would recommend this title to you.

There is not enough added to this game to make it worth another $40 for a game they had released an "upgraded" version of previously.
That said, I still bought it because I am a huge fan of the game and really wanted it on the XbOne.

If you like doa, then it's just like the one on 360. Sure they give you a few more character but there's no story to them so that makes it meh for me.

Great game, love it to death but in order to have everything you need to pay much more than double the games cost in DLC. Bait and switch.
