    This is a great noir film. Bogey is Sam Spade without the name trying to figure out what's happened to a war buddy. It's a great mystery story with lots of twists and turns. They don't make'em like this anymore. I was disappointed that this, like so many other old movies titles, didn't come with really any supplemental materials especially since Turner Classic Movies always has great stories behind the old movies, but the film is good enough to stand alone.

    Fine Bogart film with a solid story and supporting cast. This DVD is a quality product as it has been digitally mastered and includes subtitles, bonus trailers and vintage advertising. The only complaint I have is that it was reformatted for full screen presentation while I prefer films to be presented in the original format.

    A good Bogart Noir. This doesn't rise to the level of a noir like Double Indemnity or Out of the Past, so only 4 stars.

    Great move I have not seen this movie since in 42 years I was a long man I bee looking for this movie for years the move I found were used I wanted a new movie and found it best buy thanks WilliWhite
