Dead Space 1 included the primary focus on fear and to get you all shaken up throughout the Game. Now, comes to Dead Space 2 with not only an Epic Adventure, but as well with a well designed plot, amazing graphic display, a newly added on Multiplayer online, and best of all the game has taken a turn to make it very creative while still keeping it's touch on the Horror that it revolved around. Issac still at large, he is ready to get right into battle with a new stylish suit that can even make Iron Man feel jealous. Thus, new waves of physically disturbing infected necromancers along with new ways to kill them with. This game is purely amazing and will knock you right off your seat with excitement, fear, and suspense. Personally, it'll make the top list of Scary Games in 2011 due to it's Scare Factor increased with new ideas presented since the first game. This game should be recommended for those who get energetic and can handle the bloodshed and gore presented, besides the fact it's a SciFi Game Type. Worth buying, shouldn't even be considered rented otherwise.

Wonderful graphics and story,amazing shock horror! It's like a movie that you control. And best to play with the lights off and surround sound on. You forget its a game!

Simply put I loved the original Dead Space and thus when Dead Space 2 came out it was a day 1 purchase for me. After finishing the game (~14h) and playing multiplayer for couple of hours this is what I thought. ***********PROS************ A SURVIVAL HORROR: While Dead Space 2 is slightly deviating from Dead Space 1 in terms of it is being more cinematic (more dramatic cut scenes, more depiction Isaac as a character etc.), Dead Space 2 is still a survival horror. You will have to be careful of your surroundings, you will have to be careful about conserving your ammo and you will have to have to use different items you gain in the game very wisely to get through the game on normal or harder modes. So unlike games like Resident Evil, which has moved to purely action/adventure, Dead Space 2 is still a survival horror. ATTENTION TO DETAIL CREATING SPACE ENVIRONMENT: One of the reasons I loved Dead Space 1 and now Dead Space 2, is it is horror in space. In Dead Space 1 you are surviving in a space ship abandoned in Space and in this game you are doing similar in a city in space that is going through similar terror. While you may find these two settings very similar, there are some aspects that truly distinguish Dead Space 2 from 1. One of them being taking place in a city, you will have much greater variety in environment compared to Dead Space 1 and everything is designed so craftily that it actually feels like you are in the futuristic city in space. I truly want to give you examples, but it is hard to do it in words and without spoiling the gameplay experience for you, so just take my words for it. UNEXPECTED SURPRISES: This is probably the best aspect of the game and makes it actually a horror. There are so many parts in the game (and I mean so many) where you won’t see things coming and I am not just talking about enemies popping out of closet, but some really good stuff. I truly wish I could tell you, but I truly don’t want to ruin the game for you. BETTER IN SPACE GAMEPLAY: Like last game, you will have zero gravity and Oxygen less space areas, but in this game there will be a variety of things you will be doing in Iron-man like space suit. I simply loved it, especially the parts that are highly cinematic. VARIETY IN ENEMIES: Just like Dead Space 1, there is plenty of variety in enemies. While a lot of enemies will be similar to Dead Space 1, there are some very unique new enemies. Having variety of enemies truly prevents the game from being redundant and keep things exciting. VARIETY IN DEATHS: This is a strange pro to list, but play the game and even if you are a good player try dying with the hands of different enemies and different environmental hazards. The number of brutal ways you can die in this game will surprise you. I personally loved it. VARIETY IN WEAPONS: Again most of the weapons you get are from Dead Space 1 (which are great), but then you will get also some new different type of weapons. The best part of these weapons is they have alternate fire. So this makes using them very strategic. The best thing that has been about Dead Space series is it is not simply about going around and shooting enemies. Rather, it has been about strategically fighting off the enemies. There are parts in this game you will get hordes and hordes of enemies coming at you. If you simply try to get them by just using one weapon, they will punish you. On the other hand, if you strategically use your weapons’ fire and alternate fire, you will be able to survive through the terror and move forward. PLENTY OF UPGRADABLES: Just like previous Dead Space you can upgrade your suit, your rig, your weapons etc. In this game though you can get different types of suits. I personally have loved this addition. This truly adds an RPG element and promotes you to conserve even more so you can by nodes to upgrade as many weapons as possible. AWESOME BEGINNING: Usually in my reviews I only consider gameplay etc. as pros and cons., but the beginning gameplay for this game is so unique that I have to put it down as pro. Unfortunately I can’t tell you more without spoiling so play and find it out. TWISTS IN THE STORY: There are few twists that you may be able to predict, but others I guarantee you won’t see coming, especially in the end. Every crazy thing you may read or see has some sort of meaning. Unfortunately another thing I can’t describe more without spoiling. NO ASTROIDS: Yes this is another thing I wouldn’t usually list as pro., but asteroids in Dead Space 1 annoyed me so much that I am so happy they don’t have them in Dead Space 2 or anything of similar nature. BONUS GAME: As of now (02/2011) If you buy this game for PS3 form Amazon, you will get Dead Space Extraction for PS3 move for free. I can’t say for the future though. MULTIPLAYER: While I am not into multiplayers these days, I still loved the the multiplayer for this game, especially the part where you can play nacromorph. This truly adds great replay value to the game. MANY DIFFICULTY MODES: There are 3 difficulty modes above normal. So if you are a completionist, this game will take you a while and provide you hours and hours of entertainment. ************CONS.***************** LACK OF GOOD BOSSES: Don’t get me wrong there are some good bosses in this game who will kill you in some of the most brutal ways possible; however, I had better expectations for them. Especially for the last boss. Kind of disappointed. INVENTORY: Dead Space 1 and 2 are the games where you truly have to conserve the ammos and items and for that your inventory space is very important. Just like Dead Space 1, in this game there are levels where you will go long sequences without seeing a store where you can rearrange items in your inventory. During these long sequences you will acquire quite a few god/silver/bronze semiconductors (huge chunks of credits) and schematics for new items and they will occupy huge part of your inventory which should be used for ammos and health. I personally found it annoying. They should have separate space or should not take any space in your inventory at all. ************CONCLUSION************* Pros for this game clearly outweigh the Cons. If you are a Dead Space fan or like horror games, this game is a must. So do yourself justice and buy and play it at your earliest opportunity. I give it 9.5/10.

I don't usually replay games but this one had me hooked. I just had to play it again especially since I wanted to obtain some of the achievements. Lots of action and scary moments.

I am a huge fan of survival horror games. Dead Space 2 does not disappoint. If you're looking for a challenging game that will get your heart racing check out this game. If you haven't played the first Dead Space, it is definitely worth going back and playing. Awesome game!

It is a shooting game in the third person which it has good development because the graphics engine that it was created. The modules show different degrees of difficulty. It the best I played

Bought this as gifts for both of our sons, they love the game! They especially love that there are parts of the game that can scare even them.

This is the franchise that dethroned doom for horror first person shooters, creepy, dark, action packed, and awesome.

Just like i said about the Left for Dead review, this was one i gave up as well.....great game great series!

This game is a blast and keeps me on my toes. You won't be sorry if you buy this game. Alot of fun too

I am a picky gamer. I rarely ever buy games because I'm a hard gamer to please. This game however is one that acheives my approval. It's alot of fun and a great challenge. (with adjustable difficulty of course) It has a very eary mood throughout and is one of very few games that actually manage to give me a start. I recommend purchasing this title.

I purchased this game for my son and he really likes it.

Dead space 2 is an amazing sequel. The graphics are fresh, the lighting is amazing, the sound is intense the weapons have improved, the main character (isaac clarke) can actually talk adding to the story, the enemies are terrifying, and even the multiplayer is pretty fun. I was truly blown away by this game. To be honest, I almost didnt buy it because I thought it would be too intense but I talked myself into it, mostly because I was tired of Black Ops. This game also has a high replay value, just like in the first there is a new game+ mode so you can go back through with all of your power ups from a previous playthrough and clean up any acheivements you may have missed. Anyway, the only real dissapointment was the final boss. CAUTION; BEWARE OF THE STALKERS!

Dead Space 2 is a great sequel to the original.Once again you play as Isaac Clarke a man who has been scarred by the events during the last game.The gameplay is very familiar to gamers who played the last title,but with settle changes.Isaac's stasis meter recharges overtime when you don't use it,he also has upgraded suits and weapons to help him in the fight against the Necromorphs.Zero G is better than last game,you don't fly from wall to celing,you have total control over where you fly this time around.Melee attacks are better.The voice acting is very good.The music is very spooky,the screams from the Necromorphs are louder and more evil.The graphics are top notch just like the original game,but with more detail and brighter contrast.Story mode will take about 10 hours to complete,that is if you don't get scared and turn off the game for sake of FEAR.Multiplayer not really so good for this game.I know it was a good idea at the time,but they make the human players stronger than the Necromorphs at times which seems unbalanced.Bottom line this game is worth every penny to play again and again,that is if you're not to scared to play more than once.

Once I played Dead Space, I was hooked. So when Dead Space 2 came out, I was ready. This game unlocked a refurbished plasma cutter, since I had played the first game and even came with more weapon options than I could handle. The sound effects are amazing, keeps me on the edge of my seat throughout. Isaac gets countless upgraded suits that you simply MUST have! The necromorphs just keep coming, but with every upgrade to your weapons and suit they get a little easier to beat. The story line is just as good as the first and the end will keep you wanting more. They keep saying your mom hates Dead Space 2, but truth be told: I LOVE Dead Space 1 & 2! I've beat the game twice, now I'm about to beat it on Zealot mode -then comes Hard Core! Multiplayer is a sweet challenge and the add-on is just as awesome! I would definitely recommend this game and if you haven't played part one, it will make you want to. Enjoy!

I played Dead Space before when the first one was around and I liked it a lot and I couldn't wait for the second to come out. When it did I got it as soon as i could and played and played and played. I got hooked onto it and had the urge to keep playing. It has a great story line, good length as well. It gives a good challenge to players to the previous players of DS 1 and new players for this as well. The graphics are amazing in the story and multiplayer, not many things are this good in the graphics area and not nearly as many with graphics that are outstanding but they did it. The length is good, I liked the game so much that I was actually disappointed when I beat it because I wanted to play more of the campaign. When the 3rd comes out its a definate buy for me! If you're looking for a game with a lot of intensity and excitement, get it. I also read a previous comment complaining on how to play the game, thats why there is a manual inside the case... And also they said almost everything is bad. I completely disagree! BUY IT!
