I love all these DC animated movie limited deluxe edition sets with the figures. I have tried to collect all of them but I still need a few older ones. Anyways, this movie is just 'The Death of Superman' and 'Reign of the Supermen' edited in to one long (almost 3hrs!) film. So if you aren't a collector or if you already have those movies individually then you can skip this. I have both the movies but still had to have this for the Steel figure! This set also came with a bonus 4K disc of the movie 'Superman: Doomsday' so that was a nice suprise, even though I do have it on Blu-Ray it's nice to have on 4K too now. The price seemed a little high at first but if you break it down you are really getting 3 DC animated movies and the collectable figure, not to mention a Blu-Ray and digital copy of 'Death and Return' So all in all I'm happy with my purchase and to have it part of my collection! Next up, 'WonderWomen: Bloodlines' deluxe edition in a few weeks!

I usually don't like animated Superman movies. The animation is cheesy and the story is weak. This one started the same way. The animation was weak, I am a big fan of anime and by comparison this looked like cardboard figures with moving background. But as the story progressed the animation got better. The renderings were rich and had depth to them. I then began to pay attention to the story and it is great! The relationship between Lois Lane and Clark Kent had all the nuances one would expect from a dork with a secret identity...such as superman and a beauty like Lois. The carnage brought on by Doomsday is hard to watch even if it is a cartoon. Seeing the Justice League beat down like they were and then Superman, though he prevailed, paying the cost with his life. I love how they incorporated two movies into one seamless movie. I love it.

Originally released as two separate films, it’s great to see both films included into 1 full length film. This is a really great all-around adaptation of the original comic, so seeing them stitched together is really great. The included special features are many of the same features from The original releases but also includes a new feature on Superman. You also receive a 4K disc for the original 2007 Superman Doomsday Animated Movie and a free digital redemption code.

I like how they combined both films into one long movie. They even include the Superman: Doomsday film from 2007. This is an updated reimaging for the 1990's storyline for the Death of Superman and his eventual return. This film has the newly updated Justice League where as in the 90's comics, it was a subpar Justice League that fought Doomsday. A must own for any Superman fan.

Death and Return of Superman was always one of my favorite storylines. Having the New 52 spin on it was a little different but didn't spoil the original movie. I ended up watching the whole movie in one sitting despite the long run time. If you have both movies already, maybe skip this but haven't not watched either, it was a good experience.

Just like the DarkKnight complete move the Death and Return of Superman: The Complete Film does the same for any ANY DC fan of the comic. The complete movie allows the viewer to get the full comic experience without the distracting subplots. There are a few changes in the narrative, but they only add to the viewing experience.

Glad to see you want a brother / DC had a good idea to combine a two-parter move into one disc similar to Dark Knight Returns.. definitely worth the purchase nice Segway from one movie to the other making it feel like one true movie

This is the death of Superman & reign of the Superman movies combined as 1. Done seamlessly with new footage to make for a much better cut of the films. The figurine is a nice bonus.

I love this Death and Return of Superman: The Complete Film Collection Gift Set [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray]. Its a great collectible to have.

when I saw they joined the two movies together as one, I had to get it. Awesome that it comes with a collectible figure too.

I really enjoyed the movie. I really liked the comic version and thought it's a better version than the other version.

We are capable of so much more than we think. You have no idea what you are capable of . The movie is good.
