The plot is hilarious, and the performances from Meryl (one of my favorite actresses) and Goldie are great fun. But my favorite thing about this movie is Bruce Willis...he's not the macho, sweat-covered-hero that you see him as in most of his movies. In this film, he plays someone who is physically as well as emotionally weak, yet he still manages to come out on top. His drastic turn in this movie is what makes it so unique. Also, the special effects were pretty good, considering that it came out in the early '90s. A visually satisfying film with a unique, fun plot.

    Where is the wide screen?

I remember when the film came out. So much press about the special effects in the film. And, what does Universal do? Makes the film ONLY in full screen? Does NOT do justice to the film. The film itself is entertaining. Meryl & Goldie do good jobs with their characters. Willis, did NOT need him in here. I think he was miscast. Going back to the special effects, they were good & do well in standing up to the test of time. No good extras on this, just standard cast information. NOTHING on the actors or the special effects, nothing. I hope Universal rereleases the film IN THE NEEDED WIDE SCREEN FORMAT.

    See right thru Hawn

3 of 5 stars for the comedy movie Death Becomes Her. How can you not like a movie where Goldie Hawn walks around with a shotgun made hole thru her tummy--yep, you can see right through it. Oh, and when she sits down on a couch and the long wooden handle from a tool pokes right thru. This is a star packed movie (Willis, Hawn, Streep and Caine). The story line is that Hawn & Streep want to drink a "foutain-of-youth" potion (from Isabelle Rossellini). They both need Willis to do "make-up" and body repairs. Ultimately the girls decide the Willis needs to live forever also to continue taking care of them. Well, Willis has other ideas. This is a well written movie. Well acted and richly photographed. Funny and worth watching!

This movie is ahead of its time with CGI effects. One of the first movies to incorrupt CGI and the actors, not just for blue screen effect.
