This anime is was one of the best I've seen in a long time and highly recommend it.

Seems like a faithful rendering of the manga, though I've not finished either. The story seems to be overly simple and reliant on a "Red Queen" formula. The stakes get raised, the ante is upped, but the stalemate doesn't budge. There's a "reveal" that changes nothing. It's very tiresome. The antagonist and protagonist are both supposed to be world class geniuses, but instead of coming across as smart, the writing feels lazy and their genius insights are more like examples of "deus ex machina" rather than deduction. It feels like the characters simply know things because they need to know them for the story to "progress." The attempt to show the characters as mind-blowing geniuses contrasts sharply with the fact that they make moronic, rash decisions. We're supposed to think the antagonist is thinking 12 steps ahead the whole time, even though the crux of the WHOLE plot is that he spontaneously murders of someone on live TV? Ugh. I don't know if I will be able to finish it. I just don't care what happens. My attention keeps straying when I try to watch it. Maybe it redeems itself and gets awesome, I can't say. As for the actual physical quality of the product, the dvd case split apart when I opened it for the first time. Incredibly cheap packaging.

Keeps ya interested. The first half of the series is much better than the second half but overall worth it if you’re into animation

Probably the only Anime series I've watched all the way through, let alone willing to own. This collection is sharp, and packed full of good features.

Japanese anime at its most disturbing. Dark. Morbid and provoking.

Pretty good anime, The only thing holding it back it’s not a Blu-ray. visually looks faded on my 4K TV.
