Really this series made me upset to even know DeathNote at all. I was a fan when it first came out up to its finish, or at least until volume five. When I heard it was going to be an anime, I was thrilled. But the art changed, there were ridiculously over-dramatic scenes and added scenes that were unnecessary. For instance in the overly-dramatic, Raito (Or Light. LOL) is eating from a bag of chips.. And it slows down dramatically and there are suddenly sparkles. I can't watch it and take it seriously. There's also the fact that he writes with his arms flying about. There was nothing like that in the real book, which is what you should really be checking out. The voice acting.. I was looking forward to it at first, but when I heard it, all I could do was laugh. I had my mother watch with me, and neither of us could take it seriously at all. In fact, we couldn't watch more than 3 minutes of it. Really, it's not worth it. If you want to enjoy this series and not feel like an imbecile, read the book.
