Death Ritual Kicks you know what

Chris Barnes and Co. have done it again with their 8th full length studio release. This is a very catchy, thumpin, heavy, and gloomy edition to their large catalog of death metal material. There is no shortage of poppin base riffs and awesome guitar leads that will remind you of some of their older stuff, while at the same time it does have a unique fresh sound that SFU have always strived for on all of their studio releases. It starts out with track one, "Death By Machete", which attempts to rip you apart with its faced paced grind and evil lyrics. It gets you in the mood for the rest of the CD and reminds you why you love death metal in the first place. I even enjoy their remake of Motley Crue's, "Bast&R#". The death metal sound goes well with that song. It is in the middle of the CD at track six, which is a little unique as well. But, they save the best for last with track 13, "Murder Addiction", which has some awesome fast paced riffs along with Barne's brutal-growling and burping vocals. This release also features guitarist Steve Swanson (with smokin' hot solos), bass legend Terry Butler, and (lightning fast) drummer Greg Gall.

Once again, SFU deliver the goods with this cd! "Death Rituals" continues to show the progression of the band, musically and lyrically.
