Different than the Charles Bronson version of the movie. I liked the changes that were made to this movie and it was better than what I expected after reading the reviews that other people had written about it.

Trying to compare this film to the original 70s film with Charles Bronson's grim demeanor is a no-brainer. That feature was a classic still standing the test of time when one individual is faced to battle the criminal element. So unfair this remake was marred by current tragic events and pushed back months later. Bruce Willis is his usual best in the action genre and this is a good example. Fans of Willis and action flicks will enjoy this ride...…..

The movie plot is excellent with the story becoming very real with todays real life crimes that affect people at an unexpected part of their life. Sad how awful crimes still are very prevalent in society today, and as much if not more than before. This movie will not disappoint you if you like action movies with high quality acting, directing coupled with a very well written story/script.

Bruce Willis plays a surgeon and family man. When they're supposed to be out for the evening, robbers are interrupted when mother and daughter come home. The wife is killed and the daughter is hospitalized. Frustrated by the police, Willis takes the law in his own hands and hunts down the intruders. Revenge was never so much fun.

Overall, the movie was to me better than the original version. Charles Bronson did well in the series throughout the 70s and 80s (Just to note) Just like any decent revenge plot, it packs a fair amount of violence and suspense. I give it an excellent rating because Bruce Willis proved he can still act well into his career.

Can't beat the gritty original but, still very fun. Good action, and suspense. Bruce plays the part well enough. He's fun to watch taking down the bad guys.

Bruce is at it again! How could I resist? This time Bruce puts a bit of a new spin on one of my old favorites...Death Wish originally starring Charles Bronson. Not bad, if you like Bruce Willis. Who doesn't like Die Hard with a twist? Hey, if you like action packed movies,...pop the popcorn and sit back....

If you liked the original Death Wish movie with Charles Bronson, then you will certainly enjoy this new updated version with Bruce Willis. There were some subtle changes that were made with a great alternate ending. I really enjoyed & highly recommend this DVD, especially if you happen to be a Bruce Willis fan.

Great movie that echos of the great Charles Bronson era but with a little change in plot story. A movie that doesn’t disappoint!

This is obviously a remake from the late great Charles Bronson. some 40 years ago! Bruce Willis did a great job in this movie and was very entertaining with action and fun to watch! The picture was great In HD and DTS 5.1 audio sound! Bought on sale thru Best Buy! Highly recommend!

I say remake, but I'm not sure if Eli Roth used the original Charles Bronson film or the book as his source? In any case it's well done and Bruce Willis was the perfect choice to play Kersey. Only thing better would have been Christian Bale with Christopher Nolan directing. lol

I remember watching all the Charles Bronson Death Wish series as a kid. Bruce Willis' version did a good job of mimicking Charles Bronson and added his own touch. It's a great Saturday night movie to watch....liked the action and plot.

BW pretty much plays himself in most of his movies. For me, as someone who enjoys simply watching him, seeing him act brings me fun and pleasure. He is a good professional actor and I admire the creativity and enthusiasm he brings to his work.

Remakes are hit and miss...I Feel Bruce Willis Paid Great Homage to the Death Wish Films...Some Differences maybe but over all great film...He should get as many films in the series as Bronson if they are as good as this...I would love it..Great Job

After four sequels we begin anew or is it the same yet different. It's Bruce Willis and he ain't no Charles Bronson, but he certainly could be. I thought they did a pretty good job in the remake, but I still miss Bronson.

Having watched the original Deathwish movies as a kid, I did not know what to expect with the current offering. But with Bruce Willis I figured it would be good. It did not disappoint. Plenty of action and a good plot. Recommended.

The new Death Wish is pretty awesome. I watched the original one with my dad. Had to get this one for him. He enjoyed it. The action was great. I liked the quality of the blu-ray as well. I hope they make another one.

Bruce seems to be doing a lot of "direct to video" movies these days, this however was an enjoyable, entertaining movie and nice twist on the original. Recommended action popcorn movie.

THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING, it tells the story of a guy who's wife gets killed in a break-in and wants to get revenge (the guy not the wife), it has emotion and every part of the movie leaves you wanting more!

I felt this was a slightly different role for Bruce Willis and was pleasantly surprised as to how much I enjoyed this film. This would definitely be a must have for any Bruce Willis fan.
