I specifically purchased this particular system due to the PTZ capability described in the best buy product description. I should have known a simple analog system would not have PTZ, but wishful thinking played into this purchase. This system DOES NOT HAVE PTZ! The dome cameras are simply low profile cameras. Per Defender customer support, they do not sell a PTZ camera. You have been warned. Aside from that rant, the system works as advertised. I bench tested the system prior to installation and found 1 camera was defective. You get what you pay for, if you desire a high end security camera system, shell out the cash and purchase an IP based system.

I wish the system came with more directions as how to use the DVR itself but if you are smart and mess around with it, you can figure out all the fun functions. The cameras are good quality for around my house and they do have a better picture on the tv than the phone but all is well. The app is easy to use with the phone. Easy to install, you drill a guide hole, insert the anchors, and put the screws in. No PTZ remotely but all cameras can be moved around by hand quite easily. Overall, great product and a great price

incredibly disappointed. They highlight their "1-step viewing" and ease of install. What they don't tell you is the 7 steps that it takes to get to the 1-step viewing. So, technically, it is 8 step viewing. and the customer service is horrible. They are condescending and not helpful.
