This speaker is great and very sleek looking. . Big sound! The only drawback to this center channel is its depth dimension. You need a lot of shelf room to have it in its proper location. Because of this I now have to mount my plasma to the wall.

I had to decide over Bowers and Wilkins Or these DT. I own a pair of BW but never had DT speakers, my friend told me about them, I took a chance on them and I can honestly say they are apar with BW. What a great Center Speaker this is. love it.

Sound quality is excellent. If there is any negative it is the size. It's a bit on large size.

I was running 14 year old JBL's for a 5.1 system. I was looking for an upgrade. I started researching and Definitive Technology kept coming up. So, I went in for a listening. I was impressed. But, I knew that the acoustics in the Magnolia room was a lot better than mine. I purchased the 5.1 system although the towers have subwoofers built in I wanted the stand alone sub. The voices from the center channel are incredibly clear Now I'm setup and enjoy the sound immensely I would recommend.

Movies come alive with this Def tech center channel. Voices are clear and life like.

This is a good speaker set. I have been missing out on the quality of sound from standing speakers. I upgraded from an old Onkyo pair of bookshelf speakers, so this was quite an "upgrade" for me. I am not an avid speaker/audio enthusiast but I would recommend these speakers on the fact that my movies sound GREAT! I would certainly go visit a Magnolia Theater at Best Buy to have one of the associates demo this unit.

Great center channel - I got it with the bundle deal with the mains and rears. Sounds great - Just wish it was a little smaller.

I always love Definitive Technology speakers. I have purchased a pair of DT floor standing speakers two years ago and decided it was finally time to pick up a center channel speaker from them as well. The sound is loud, crystal clear and by far the best addition thus far to my home theater system. I will continue to buy Definitive Technology products as I have not been let down yet!

I listened to dozens of speakers before deciding on the DT SM55s. I have them paired with a Pioneer VSX -90 receiver and the DT CS-8040 center channel speaker. The imaging is amazing. The sound is so clear whether watching a movie or listening to music. Vocals are crisp and seem to come out of thin air. Great speakers for the price.

This center speaker complements the same brand tower 3 1/2 loudspeakers I got. I am very pleased with the audio results.

This is a bit large, but I needed some power to keep up with my BP2000 towers and this center works well, I mean Awesome! upgraded at the same time to the 8020 towers as surrounds and man am I thrilled. Replaced some smaller def tec stuff that's going in the bedroom as less than deftec sound is uncivilized.

Truly awesome center channel speaker. I listened to quite a few before deciding to match it with my four Klipsch KB-15 surround speakers. The CS-8040 speaker provides crystal clear audio while still providing a perfect range of background audio effects. Very happy with the purchase.
