Best sounding speaker I have ever owned. Don't miss my old true 5.1 surround set up at all. Every once and a while I think someone else is in the house due to this surprisingly good surround tech but even when just watching tv, it sounds perfect. This thing is heavier than expected.

We had a passive sound bar before this one that we really liked but it was just too big for the new TV location. this one fit perfectly, it is nice and small but puts out big clear sound.

Had a home theater consultant come out to my house and give me some recommendations. This was one of the products he recommended based on the layout of my living room. I already had inwall speakers in the back of my living room however couldn't find the right look for inwall speakers in the front of the room. This was the PERFECT solution. Great sound and sleek look.

The Best Buy in home "consultant" which took 10 days to bring him in told me that the product was outstanding, that it would be very close to surround sound and more. Installation appointment took another 10 days (including mounting 2 TV') and they were helpful. The sound quality was better with my old center channel speaker. Although I didn't see how a bar under my TV could possible project sound around the room (I have owned traditional, 5.1 in ceiling surround sound,) the "consultant" continued to tell me how great the item was. This review is more about being mislead (I am not a tech person) and not so much about the product. However, as with most, you get what you pay for!

I must say that I was skeptical when I purchased this sound bar I really did not think it would sound as good as my 6 year old polk audio floor standing 5.1 speakers that sounded great but took up way too much space in my living room. and the fact that you still need a amp and sub added about $650 more for what I purchased was not fun I hooked up the Definitive Technology Mythos Solo Surround Array Speaker and mounted it under my new Samsung LED and I was already happy because it just looked awesome and clean and once I hooked it up to my system and tested it out I was Amazed on how good it sounded for just being a soundbar like speaker it gets loud and keeps the sound quality even at high volume If you want Great sound without the wires running all over the house or having to repair walls and ceilings due to wire hiding or you just don't want 5 speakers hanging around the room this is what you are looking for.. I even added 2 surround speakers to my amplifier and put the speakers behind my recliner and now I have a true surround sound and it is awesome. the 5 year definitive tech warranty is cool too

Had issues getting the sound I needed in my small craftsman home living room. I attempted to use a Samsung soundboard, but found that it didn't quite work with my set up (receiver/tv). After some research I found out passive soundbar was the way to go if you still wanted to all the features on my receiver. This product is a beast. Sound great and boy is it made with some quality materials. Thing is pretty heavy and the housing is made of metal. Really enjoying the sound that comes out of this single speaker solution. Best buy should do a better job of having this think on display at the stores.

Noticing that there is no subwoofer is pretty obvious... But sifting through the nonsense to find out after the effect that you need to have an amplified receiver to use this is disheartening. Especially since it's hundreds of dollars higher than the other brands and they are self powered. In my opinion, it is not as they claim (at an affordable price) because now you have to couple in the price of a decent 5.1 or 7.1 receiver and a sub.

Awesome unit at a great price! really bolsters my home theater setup with the power!
