I got this set open box, on sale. It's a really nice system for the money even if you pay full price. Much better than some of the other systems that come in one box. I pushed the fronts too hard with a receiver that is within the power rating of the speakers and I haven't taken them back yet. I'm curious how BB is going to handle that since I bought them open box...

Originally went in to buy a second Bose Accoustimass 10 system. Decided to venture into the Magnolia Dept before hand and entertained the sales guy's request to show me a couple of alternatives, fully expecting not to be swayed from Bose as I already have that setup in another room and love it. Once I heard these with the Yamaha Aventage receiver (735w) I was blown away! Rich, crystal clear sound at all dB levels (no distortion) that surpassed that which the Bose system could produce. Considering these were going into a much larger space as well made this purchase a no-brainer. As long as you get a quality receiver I cannot see any reason why anyone wouldn't be happy with this speaker system as they would with systems that cost much more. Give 'em a listen!

I have the Denon control this speaker system. It is loud and crystal clear. Very high quality feel and build. My room is little odd and my seating positions are not in the center, this system still makes it sound good. I am also running another subwoofer, SUB12, it works very well with this but overpowers the sub that came with the system. Overall, very happy with the purchase and I am very demanding and picky customer.

Overall fantastic - I was looking for small speakers that didn't look cheap (Samsung) but sounded better than Bose - and these delivered! They look great, sound great, the satellites have superb punch. The only thing I would say is that the set-up (wiring the receiver to the sub prior to the left and right channels) will require more speaker wire. I tried it direct and the recommended way and couldn't really hear a difference, but whatever. It's a small inconvenience for such a great system.

These speakers are crystal clear and pack a surprising amount of volume to fill up your home theater. Unless you're going commercial grade with a HUGE room, I'd put my money on these. I find them superior to the Bose Acoustimass setup.

I've owned Definitive Technology products in the past and have always enjoyed the sound quality. Same for this product - my only problem was a defective subwoofer - which was replaced with a brand new one straight out of the box. Thank you Best Buy - wonderful service! Speakers look great in the room - not too big, but not too small sound. They fill the room - especially using the receivers auto calibration. And the new subwoofer kicks some serious bass!!! They look well manufactured and have that heavy, strong feeling to them. Connectors are good quality, brass screw type and not the standard spring style. Thank you DT for continuing to make exceptional products.

I have a small living room, with limited space for speakers. This set is very easy to fit in, and wall mount easily. The sound quality is excellent, especially for such small speakers.

not having dealt with definite technology in the past i will just say that I was impressed with the clarity of the sound coming from such compact speakers. I am running these off of an onkyo tx-nr646 (rated for 100 watts / channel) and they sound loud and clear at high volume. The sub is impressive for its size but could use a bit more weight. It literally hops around. I have to leave it dialed down to 65% or so otherwise it will come visit me when listening to music or watching movies with loud explosions.

I read reviews about this product on Amazon prior to purchasing it through Best Buy and all the reviews were positive except for a few, but amongst those few, the complaints were that the subwoofer was distorting. I talked to the speaker technician at Best Buy and he explained that those people were probably having problems because they were using an incompatible receiver, and this made sense, for why else would everybody give positive reviews but only three people complain about the subwoofer? I've been extremely impressed with this sound system. It is everything I had hoped for and the 3D acoustics live up to expectations. There have been no problems with the subwoofer, either. It earns all 5 of its stars.

I was originally looking to build a 5.1 surround speaker system starting with Polk tower speakers. The sales person was very helpful with the system that I was looking to build. Then he suggested the Definitive Technology - ProCinema 600 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker System. It sounded great. Of course they were powering them with a receiver that was 10x beyond my budget! I got them home hooked them up, and the sub woofer did not work. Things happen. I returned them and BestBuy exchanged them for me with a new system. My only complaint now is that the sub woofer walks across my Pergo floor in the living room! Believe me, that is the only thing I can say remotely negative about these speakers. They are wonderful. They sound fantastic. Maybe when we get done laughing about my walking sub woofer chasing my dog, I will put a dab of silicone caulk down on the feet of the sub woofer. But for now, I'll enjoy the laugh and the good sound.

Speakers are great for our use. Small form factor is nice as well. Good bass from the subwoofer and dialog from the center is clear. Music sounds good as well.

Have had this in place for about a month and I'm very happy with it. Does great with movies & also sounds great when you turn it up playing music! My sub was defective when I first set it up, but the store swapped me for a new one & all is good. Satellite speakers are solid & heavy for their size, a good thing. Time will tell, but for now well worth the money.

Like others have said, the satellite speakers sound fantastic. I replaced a Boss Soundtouch 300 with the wireless speakers and bass module that come with it for these speakers and a Denon amplifier. The sound easily is better than the boss system as for as everything EXCEPT bass. The sun woofer in this package is cheaply made and sounds distorted and muffled. Yes, my settings are correct in my receiver with the crossover signal. I've been connecting audio/video systems for years. The woofer is just plain bad. I'm replacing it another woofer from BIC America here at Best Buy. In summary, you'll love the satellite speakers in this set the the sub woofer leaves ALOT to be desired. Judging from other reviews of other sub woofers offered by DefTech, seems like this is an issue in general which is why I'm going with a different sub woofer from a different manufacturer.

I purchased this set with the Denon AVR X1200W A/V receiver as part of a promotion going on; saved $400. I just used the standard hookup for now instead of the preferred method. I've no issues others are having. I plan on adding Infiniti Primus P363 floor speakers for the fronts and moving the two 600 sats around to create 7.1 sound. I also plan on seeing the Pro Sub 600 and replacing it with a better sub down the road. I really wanted the 600 sats; the sub was a bonus to use till I can put more money into the system.

Picked up a set of these for my new place and added Martin Logan Motion 2 speakers as the fronts to make this a 7.1 setup. Overall the sound is pretty on point. Using a Pioneer Elite VSX-LX301, Oppo UDP-203, hooked up to a LG 60UH7700. The sound is crystal clear and I am only lacking a little bit of mid’s and low end bass which I can understand for the overall size of the sub and speaker cones I wasn’t going for theater like sound replication. This setup was for the family room and I wanted to keep the speaker sizing down considering that I have way too many speakers and my lady is tolerant about my obsession. I would suggest that you go take a look in person and also listen to them in the Magnolia show room. Being able to add in the Martin Logan Motion 2’s and to hear how much better they made this 5.1 work really has made this choice a no brainer for me. That is what really sold me on these, you can read people’s opinion but if you don’t know them their opinion isn’t going to matter all that much. The main point here was to say that they sound great to my ear, lack a little bit of the mid-range, and while I like the size of the subwoofer I have a 10 inch Def tech sub and in the future I will be getting a second and making this into a 7.2 with dual 10” subs to help make up for some of that lost low end.

Sounds great, easy to setup! I used the rocketfish mounts to install them on the ceiling and they look great.

Was blown away in the store and again at home. Great sound, compact and far less than I expected to cost.

Speaker system is perfect for the size room that I purchased it for. Very good sound quality and easy to mounty with th erecommended mounting brackets.

These little speakers pack a big sound punch. If you have limited space, these speakers are perfect!

My uncle has a multi thousand dollar home entertainment system, which includes the top of the line Definitive speakers. Sadly I am not on his bank account level and had to seek something about 1/32 the cost...these speakers fit the bill! Very pleased with Definitive as they have always taken pride in not only the visual aspect of their product but the quality is something to boast about as well. With many high end audio companies out their, I had the pick of the litter, however with my previous encounter with Definitive I knew this would be if. Sure enough I install them at home and dial everything in, even the wife gave me the "WOW" face. In turn that put a smile on my face. Not over priced by any means, well worth the money you pay for them. Remember some great things come in small packages, this definitely being one of them!
