Great sound, worth the cost, spend hours listening to to them

Great clarity of sound and wide sound field with the bipolar speaker design. The 10"sub and 2 additional 10" baffles/radiators moves air to create lots of bass. Huge sound and the amplifier built into the lower end of the speaker is great for lows with the LFE input.

Love these speakers. Once adjusted these speakers sound fantastic. Plenty of bass but I still use with a separate subwoofer. Got them on sale. Very happy.

I am upgrading my home theater system, I wanted some tower speakers, my wife though was not very happy that I want it towers versus bookshelves. One of the cells points of this particular's tower speaker, if the Bilton subwoofer. Having two subs that are more balance give the room a really nice feel. You actually can feel the bass nurses here The 300 W subs that are built into these tower speakers sound amazing. More bass than I ever need it. Definitive technology knocked it out of the park with these 8060 speakers Buy a pair, buy two pairs! :-)

I'm a die hard Definitive fan. It kills me to give anything less than a 5 star but these are not worthy of 5 stars. To keep it short if your a rounded listener with an ear for quality than you typically want a speaker for your mains that preform well during movies and music. Well sorry to say these do not. I went from BP6B pairs to these. I wish I didn't. I started off with Tron (great movie to truly test the might of your system. They preformed much better than expected, actually I had to cut the sub level down to 1/4 up on both. This was along with my cs8080hd center (sub 1/4) and my HSU vtf15 at .6. Cause quite literally I was moving the molding to my windows behind my set. The imaging is very good with them. But that all went down hill upon playing some of my music. They felt flat in sound and the bass from the built in subs feels pushed and unnatural, exaggerated, preferably for a young kid with no ear for good sound and only bass. So if you go with these i'd recommend a back up speaker B set for your music needs like a set of studio 55s or 65s which hit the musical mark and are very kind to the wallet.

The sound quality of this speaker is amazing. With the built in subs you don't need to add a additional sub which saves in cost.

I put all the speaker wiring into a home theater and hooked up the speaker jacks for banana plugs to be used. Geek Squad then unpacked and set up the 8060 towers. Each had its own subwoofer. Easy to plug in and play. The towers were everything I had heard at the Magnolia Home Theater Store in Roseville and then some. The subs performed flawlessly and it was nice to hear them quiet down during conversational parts of the movie. Would easily recommend Def Tech speakers.

Great sound, I am so impressed. Almost strong enough to where one does not need a subwoofer. Def Tech does the best work.
