We purchased this to replace another TV sound bar. Wanted the flexibility of a unit that we could expand throughout the house. We can add speakers and a conversion kit for older theater system which is located in our basement down the line. Set up was a bit quirky as to adding the system to our home wifi network. However, once set up it works and sounds great. Looking forward to enjoying this expandable system for years to come.

We were a bit skeptical on getting a sound bar over the individual speakers. The sound completely surprised us! Incredibly rich and full, it can fill the house with music. We use it for streaming video, regular TV, and just listening to music. Well worth the money.

This sound bar has a great sound. I did have a lot of HDMI connection issues. The 4K TV sometimes recognized when it was connected and sometime it did not. It also had connection issues when I connected it to my other TVs or switched to different sources. I returned the item not because it did not sound good but because of the HDMI connection issues. Had to watch what you had to turn on first or second. I say if you do not use HDMI connections and just the optical input then buy the unit. If you use HDMI a lot look elsewhere. I have other sound bars that do not have any HDMI issues.

The sound was phenomenal, amazing, but with this price point it should have more kick and volume. If I used it while watching TV, I had it turned up between 97-100 (Max. volume). I did not like the fact it did not have blue tooth or arc, also, my TV, which I bought at the same time, a Samsung UHD, series 8 55 inch curved TV would not recognize the sound bar. The 1 connect on the TV sensed the HDMI was plugged in, but never identified it. Since the TV only had pre-loaded sound systems for manual input, I was unable to perform that function, so I was never able to get to the on-screen menu, Definitive Tech was not one preloaded. I am a huge Def Tech fan, as this past February I bought an entire Def Tech sound system to go with a Yamaha 2050 receiver, and it is awesome. That's why this sound bar is such a disappointment. Recommending this to a friends would be determined on what they use it for. If you see this sound bar in Best Buy, you will notice that they do not have it hooked up to TV, but for music only. I ended up returning it for a Samsung 5.1 sound bar, which is insane, and I love it.

I love this thing, I have this hooked up in my home office with my Xbox One and PS4 and I listen to Spotify in the back ground while working. This thing sounds beautifully and I highly recommend it to all. It produces dep bass and its clarity is second to none.

I purchased this based off a reccomendation from a best buy employee. I bout this as an online only item, and I am so glad I did. The sound quality of the bar is unreal and the bass is a booming bass that will rattle the walls.

Would I pay $1200 for this? Nope, but then again I wouldn't pay $1200 for ANY soundbar, We didn't want to run speaker wire all over our brand new house and I didn't want to compromise on sound, so when I found this on sale, I jumped at the chance to try it out. Def Tech definitely does not disappoint - clear, focused and has a sound stage large enough to fill a good sized room. No, it doesn't quite fill the void left by my 9.1 Atmos system, but it does a fantastic job for everyday TV watching.

Great sound, fills the room effortlessly. easy setup (TV only, I'm not using the music app). Looks great. Make sure the black fuse holder is in all the way, mine fell out and the sub stopped working now I have some tape over it.

I purchased this sound bar after I had already purchased the micro version and wasn't that impressed with the sound output. My micro actually over powers the bigger one and you have to use a optics wire instead of using a HDMI cable if you want to watch apps on your TV. If I hadn't got such a good deal on this one I would just purchase the micro version again. However it is a very loud sound bar.

The sound quality is outstanding! The build quality is as well. I've never heard a sound bar create the sound stage as this one. I use it as much, if not more for music so I was most interested in the unit's ability to deliver in that regard as well as surround sound. I was actually surprised as to how well it performed. I think DT could've done a better job on their Play-Fi app. I had to go through the connection process from the beginning several times. For some reason that did not happen the last time I launched the app. I'm not sure why so I can't tell you that it won't happen again. The cost was a bit on the high end for a soundbar but for those most interested in quality sound this unit delivers.

Great system. Superb Sound. No bluetooth, but has Aux In for bluetooth adapter. Does not support ARC (Audio Return Chanel) but has Optical In and 3 HDMI ports. Sounds way better then Bose Cinemax 30 or Sonos Sound bar.
