Great standalone Wi-Fi speakers. Ok-not so great surround when syncing with sound bar. I think it might have to do with the firmware and app that has to be used with setting them up with a sound bar

This speaker works great with my wStudio soundbar. I can control it from my iPad, and because it is wireless, I can move it anywhere to get instant access to music.

I purchased 2 of these for my DEFINITIVE micro soundbar. Works perfect. Didn't have any luck with the DEFINITIVE app, had to use Playfi app for the surround set up.

This little speaker has won me over. Last year I purchased a W7 and W9 and found it almost impossible to connect to my WIFI and hold a stable connection, and the play fi app for desktop just didn't work as promised, and I had a windows phone cell phone which didn't have a Def Tech app available and so I reluctantly had to return them. This year all of that has changed. The speaker always impressed me with its sound, but now I have a new internet provider, a new router, and a new android phone and I have to say it works absolutely perfectly now. I have not had one hiccup in the wireless connection, the Def Tech android app gets prompt updates and was extremely easy to set up (just as easy as Sonos if not easier) and it's so easy to set up, I'm confident that anyone could do it with minimal tech expertise. That being said, the app still doesn't have all the functionality that I am looking for in that 'ultimate' user experience, BUT the app has the potential to reach the level of versatility that one competitor, sonos, has achieved, because Def Tech is committed to updating and adding more services as time goes on. I'm a google play Music subscriber ($10 a month works with google cast) but it's not available in the Def Tech app yet, but using the Play Fi app for windows 10 desktop I can stream my google play music app from my browser to the def tech speakers. It's not ideal for ease of use, but it is a great work around in the meantime. Pandora streaming is great and media server streaming is great and easy. If my life wasn't already so entrenched into the google music infrastructure I would switch to DEEZER which is a great app that has the ability to stream loss loss-files. I also have to say that I'm a big fan of the new white finish available on the W7. I'm looking forward to Def Tech bringing a white finish to the W9 so that I can have a full matching set. I highly recommend this product, especially if you have an android based phone.

Had a hard time pairing these and could not get them to work properly with my oled tv and deftech sound bar for some reason. I gave up and will wait for a new model

great product from a great manufacture at a great price had to get I,t could not pass up a great price for the definitive w7 unit's.

Very happy with the product and technical service provided by sales staff.

To set up this device it took me about an hour to get the Wifi connected. However it was worth the wait.

I move these little speakers. I have 5 of them through out my house.

Items not good I returned it already and bought a new Bose system hundred times better

Not sure if it's better than Sonos, but does have good connections that Sonos doesn't have.

Great for whole house audio or just single room audio

Not designed well. When the power would go out, the speakers would stop working and they would have to be totally re booted !!!!!! I would Not buy these as a 5.1 surround sound system.

tried to use this with the entire system to have a wireless surround system. would not stay connected. returned and went with sonos.

Purchased two of these to accompany the thin sound bar so that I could have surround sound. Downloaded the app and was able to connect both speakers to the wireless network, but after multiple times of attempting the surround sound set up, I returned the speakers. Issues with application.....would only get sound from one speaker after set up. Application would not allow for deletion of surround set up to start over. Had to delete app to delete surround. Once I finally got it set up (still no sound from one speaker), it did not retain the settings and had to start over next day. I will do without surround sound ......

Purchased this speaker on the recommendation of the salesman. Had 4 1/2 hours of music ready for a special occasion. Two friends who are computer geeks couldn't get the speaker to work. So, 4 hour party with no music. Will return today.

Likes speaker so much, bought its big brother W9 which lasted just over a year and the company will not or cannot provide service or parts, so have a $699 anchor. STAY AWAY !!

I feel like the surround sound we got would have been fine. Roped in to buying these that I dont feel like they even work half the time.
