Of course I saw this 1972 movie years ago, but I was particularly interested in this "deluxe edition" because of the special features included. There are interviews with the actors, the director, and others who worked on the film. There's a lot of information about the author of the book it is based on, and there's a great featurette showing how they found locations, extras, and difficulties during filming. I encourage fans of this movie to take a rafting trip on the same river where it was filmed (Chattooga river, northeast Georgia) because it has been protected all these years so it looks just the same - 2017.
