Back when this movie was first released, everyone was gaga over Burt Reynolds and the infamous "squeal like a pig" scene; however, Jon Voight is easily the unsung hero.

Saw this movie in the bin and decided it was cheaper to buy than to rent. I forgot how good Deliverance was. Check out their bins, they have some good older movies.

This movie will always be classic in its depiction of life changes and the cruelty that some humans possess and the ability of the righteous to adapt and overcome .

The transfer to Blu-ray is very good and there is a good selection of special features. An excellent buy since I caught it on sale as well.

I can safely say this film probably hasn't lost much of the original punch it packed back in 1972. A true masterpiece in horror/drama/thriller.
