The Dell G15 gaming laptop is pretty sweet. It's got this cool grey with speckles thing going on, which is a nice change from the usual black laptops. Inside, it's packing an AMD Ryzen 7 chip and an NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ti, so it can handle gaming without breaking a sweat. The 120Hz display makes everything look smooth and nice. With a 512GB SSD, your games load fast, and the laptop doesn't lag. It's not the absolute top-of-the-line graphics card, but it'll still give you a great gaming experience without burning a hole in your wallet. So, if you want a gaming buddy that's got style and power, this Dell G15 is a solid choice.

Pros: * Good thermals. Gets too hot to play on your lap, but not so hot it will burn a hole in your desk. * Solid build. No part of this laptop seems flimsy or poorly built. * Great graphics for a laptop. The RTX 3060 isn't pushing boundaries, but it's good enough to play new games at high to ultra settings at 1080p. * Decent battery life. You're not going to game for 12 hours straight on this thing without plugging it in, but it will last at least 4-5 hours under heavy load on a single charge, more if you use power saver settings. Cons: * Very heavy. Like you could break into a car with this laptop, heavy. * Very loud under heavy loads. The fans do a great job a dissipating heat. The downside of this is that they sound like a hurricane. It's definitely a laptop you need headphones to play on. * Mediocre display. The display isn't bad, but it isn't great either. The colors don't really "pop" like modern gaming monitors and Apple displays and the contrast is mediocre.

It’s not the great gaming laptop cuz with a 6 months I had to repair motherboard cuz it says over charged . It seems it down not have auto charges stop.. And sometime the screen turns black after you hit the power on button .. it’s been 2 + years . I use very carefully I turn off the laptop and turn off the power after using it. And I take off the power cable after 100 percent charge . Batter is only last for like 3-6 hours depends on usage .

To be completely honest, I've had a lot of issues considering it is a brand new computer. It sometimes shuts off without warning for unapparent reasons, startup can be incredibly slow, etc. Overall I do like it, but after a few months I'm still not quite sure it's worth what I paid for it

Excellent machine - we're not using it for GAMING, we're using it for Medical Imaging - thus the need for the NVIDIA card. Although it's a bit heavy for the ladies of the office to lug around - it works well and performs fantastic!

Great display keys feel fantastic backlighting is really nice. My only issue is it is a little heavy but not crazy. For the specs I would expect to see faster boot times. Had an issue with the audio drivers I had to uninstall and reinstall them three times.

I did not expect a lot yet this laptop is surprisingly good. Its fan noise is amazingly quiet. Plus, the MUX switch allows it to run games without the bottleneck from the APU. This performs better than my previous laptop that had RTX 3070 and no MUX switch because I had to use the silent mode with it when running games because the other fan modes were too loud. Cons: Battery life is not great. Also, there is only 1 m.2 slot for NVME SSD. Mine's screen has pretty significant light bleeding.

While it’s not what I’d use for a gaming laptop, it’s been a beast for my kid. He does online school and has had absolutely no tech issues, unlike the HP his school provided. Plays Minecraft and Roblox with no stutters. It can handle Diablo 3 and WoW with very minimal chugging. The laptop doesn’t event get very warm, but I’d not recommend putting it on you lap. Bottoms line, if you’re a gamer look for the stats you need. If you want a good little beast for school or work and some gaming- this one lives up to the deman

So far this has been a great machine. I purchased I primarily for business use such as emails, writing up estimates, various Microsoft office programs and most importantly a plan measuring and blue print program that is somewhat GPU heavy. I have downloaded steam and am looking forward to playing a few games on it that I used to play on my desktop however my main use will be business. The battery life is great so far and all the programs I run a quick to load. This has very similar specs to my desktop with the only exception being my desk top has two graphics cards for 4 monitors. I can say that this performs on par with that machine which was upward of $2,000 a couple years ago. The only draw back I have which kept it from 5 stars is the unusually long start up time. It takes what seems like a very long time to get up and running from my bag. As much as 5 minutes once ad typically 3 to 4. All in all this is a great machine.

Hardware wise for the money its a great buy, however the software out of the box slows it down to a crawl. boot time was taking anywhere from 2 minutes to 10 minutes with a SSD which just shouldn't happen. After i clean installed windows the speed dramatically increased and the boot time went down to less than 20 seconds every time. Out the box 6/10 after clean windows reinstall 9/10

I bought 2 of these, one for me and one for my wife. My wife's laptop has worked great and she games on it often. Her and I play high end FPS style games and it will run better than 60fps at medium graphic settings without getting overworked. My laptop had considerable issues... It took 3 different calls to Dell to get the issues resolved. First issue was Crash to Blue screen frequently. I tried replacing the SSD and re-imaging the laptop and that didn't fix the issue. Dell sent a service tech who replaced the motherboard and that worked for a month or so but then it started crashing again under normal workloads. I ended up having to mail it back to dell and wait 4 weeks for Dell to repair / replace this laptop. Dell finally did get me a working laptop, but I went months without a reliable machine due to these issues. Dell really needs to get their QC figured out as the laptop they sold me should NEVER have passed a thorough quality inspection.
