I have ordered this laptop from Best buy online in Newyork. Then i brought this brandnew laptop to my country ( Pakistan ) . When i started using i m shocked that battery is not even charging, not even a single day , its a factory fault in laptop battery , its not connecting to laptop Rite now i can only use on power if i take out power cable that device switched over , its not connecting to the battery , ridiculous!!!! I dont know how can i returned to best buy from my country . Please be careful before ordering this model of Laptop.

I bought Dell - Inspiron 11.6 Laptop several months ago. It was very nice. So I bought one more for my brother.

Bought this to use for school work, email and Facebook, Netflix. Well, it's small and portable fits in my purse, which was perfect and it even came with a year of Microsoft office 365 which is exactly what I need for school but the problem is that it runs really slow, we have AT&T's uverse gigabit and the computer is still slow. Anything I try to do it lags and to top it off just figured out that it only has slightly over 28 gigs of me with of which 23 is already taken up by who knows what. Since the only thing I've installed has been Facebook and only have saved about 4 word documents. So, I won't have any space left for pictures,,music or any additional apps if I wanted to add to it. I will be returning and getting a real laptop.

Picked this up to replace my ASUS Transformer. Need something small and light but could run windows. Have not been disappointed by this little machine. The blue is a nice color and not to bright. It is a bit of a fingerprint magnet. Typing is easy, if a little cramped due to the smaller keyboard for the 11 inch screen. This laptop is capable of doing web browsing, email and word processing. I use it for some light excel work also. Some flash heavy websites slow it down a little, but the specs on this laptop are not the best out there, but for the price point they are good. Battery life is decent, about 6 hours on a charge if you turn the screen brightness down. Screen looks good with Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. Included Bluetooth is a nice touch to hook up my wireless speakers. If you keep most of your documents, music, pictures in the cloud then the low amount of onboard storage works fine. I expanded mine with a 32gb MicroSD card. That is where I keep all my pictures/music/videos that I want to have with me for offline use. The card doesn't even stick out that much. So if you want a small ultra portable laptop and want to pay chromebook prices, but still be able to run on your Microsoft applications, this is your laptop.

Great features for the price. I got it on a good sale, and have to say it's great battery life makes it awesome for watching videos and Internet surfing. Definitely not a processing powerhouse, and the small amount of storage cripples it to begin with, but clean up the C: drive of "previous" Windows installations just to get it to complete Windows updates and it runs pretty smooth. I've stuck a micro SD card in it and use that for saving pictures and music. All in all it was worth the price I paid, only thing I could could wish for that it doesn't have is USB 3.0 port or two.

I pre-order this laptop with no reviews yet. However I purchased one because of the price. I didn't expect a fast performance laptop as I knew it was only 199.99. I got mine for 149.99. Yes the laptop itself isn't the fastest however it does the job done for web browsing, email, and with Microsoft Office which comes with a 1- year subscription. All web pages with adobe flash pager usually take longer to load but after is loaded it runs smooth.

I bought this laptop solely to do my research for my thesis, so in that aspect it does pretty well (word processing and some internet surfing). Having only 32 FB flash storage kind of sucks, there is a slot for a micro sd card, but it's always popping out. Not enough room to upgrade the OS. Sometimes the computer is a little sluggish as well. Battery life seems moderate. Overall for the money it's not bad, very small and light/quiet profile.

after one week of use, the best i can say is expectations not met. "performance" is really more like of a tablet.i got this "laptop" to take to school in book bag along with my 8 books. the size and design were attractive. i had My university's IT dept. help me set up, remove most bloatware, install REAL anti virus program. CPU constantly chokes up S-L-O-W-S performance bad. like cell phone capacity: the claimed 32GB was actually about 12GB of available memory storage out of box (see pic). the blue color is nice BUT the glossy finish equals easy scratches, smudges, doesnt stay clean very long. the Matte screen has good viewablity. in the end this "laptop" will not replace CPU performance of a real substantial laptop. good thing i only paid 1one c note + ten $. barley good enough to view email, basic webpages.

This is a low cost & low power laptop, and I would not particularly recommend it as a main PC. However, I wanted a cheap/portable/lightweight laptop on which to install Linux & this one fit the bill. First thing I did was take an image of the original drive in case I ever wanted to go back to W10. Figuring out the UEFI & secure boot settings took a little while, but this is probably just because it has been some years since I did this last. With Linux Mint 17.3 the touchpad worked while live booted from USB drive, but not when I'd installed it on the eMMC. Meh, since my wife prefers a mouse anyway this saved me the trouble of disabling it! :-) (Various USB mice worked fine.) Everything else just worked (wifi, sound, etc). I'll probably throw Ubuntu 16.04 onto it when that is released, just for fun.

I bought this as a throw around laptop instead of abusing my high end laptop. The price is pretty decent for what you get. It's hard to find a Windows 10 laptop at this price point. I used to own an Asus Transformer TA series laptop, which did the job as well but was too top heavy. This was a nice replacement for the Asus. Don't have high expectations when diving in and it'll eventually grow on you! Good luck! :)

The Dell Inspiron 11.6" is a little slower than the Asus X205TA 11.6" and the Lenovo Ideapad 100s 11.6" notebooks. Also the Dell is a little heavier than the Asus and the Lenovo. The Dell is sleek looking and performs well for a student or traveler (lightweight use). The Office 365 Personal 1 Year Subscription is included with a pre-installed key contrary to what you might think (you must select the "Office" tile for the 1 Year Subscription to be activated and not the "Get Office" tile which is only a 30 day trial version). There is no separate 25 character Office key in the box as it is not needed.

Reason for buying: I am a deacon at my Church and I do lot's of preparation for messages, sermons and Bible Studies. I like to work in a Cafe or Library and so this Laptop has wireless Capabilities. If there is a network that offers you internet, you will be able to connect without any other hardware. Size & Looks: The size is perfect, especially if you are on the go a lot. It like carrying a note book, and it is light weight. Just don't forget to bring the charger with you when you head out! I got the Blue one, it's too glossy for my taste, but for what it's worth, it's worth it! Although I wish they had it in Black! Add-on's : The Built-in webcam is a huge plus! You can download Skype and connect with friends and family. It has built-in speakers as well, though I probably wouldn't use it because I would be in public places while using this laptop. Work capabilities: IT COMES WITH A ONE-YEAR SUBSCRIPTION WITH MICROSOFT OFFICE! I use Microsoft Word and Power point! This was a MUST for me! And for the price of the laptop, this was a great deal! Don't expect: IT DOES NOT COME WITH A DISC DRIVE! I don't need one, but just in case you do, then this is not for you. I use flash drives or just download things if needed. Last Comments: This laptop is perfect for temporary storage use, and office work. It's a great aid for doing studies and specifically for that use, it is very efficient. I am not at all regretting that I bought this. It's a great buy, as a matter of fact, for what I was looking for, it was my BestBuy! ;)

Bought to use mostly for netsurfing, media management in the cloud and limited personal work. Very portable and easy to use and update. Wish it had one more usb port. Only issue is that it frequently drops access point connection but that might be my specific problem and not the laptop's. Not for heavy gamers or thise who want to store lots of local files.

despite reading negative reviews i went for the plunge i could not be happier this little guy has all i need for now basic email light gaming from the app store it runs hearthstone as well with no problem basic web browsing and documents for the price point of 150 bones cant go wrong only gripe i have is it gets hot after 30 min of playing a game no worries got a cooling laptop stand for that all in all coming from win vista its leaps and bounds from vista thanks best buy and i would recommend this to any one looking for something at the moment but has a tight budget. i ended up uninstalling all the dell software and the laptop is alot faster and is more responsive

My Dell Inspiron replaced a 3 year-old HP G6 laptop that, sadly - but truthfully - had given me problems on a consistent basis, always involving the battery that required replacement. I'd been thinking about going with a Dell product for some time when the battery in my old laptop again needed replacement and after visiting Best Buy, I realized that for a few dollars more, I could just purchase a brand new Dell laptop that had all of the features I wanted -- and more, and for a lower price. The Dell meets all of my needs, its smaller size makes portability less of an issue and it is easier to use. I made an excellent choice; just wish I done this sooner!

This is a great laptop for those that just need a basic, entry - level laptop. This laptop is quick, very easy to use, great battery life, and it's blue. This machine does not have any lag that I can see. People that talk down about this are trying to compare an inexpensive laptop to a $700 laptop. You can't compare the two. There will be obvious differences in speed and quality. If you just need a basic laptop that doesn't involve trying to play online games, building complicated Web projects, editing music and designing, then this is the perfect laptop for you. Web surfing amd email, along with watching Netflix is what Inuse it for. Did I mention that is also in a VERY cool blue color?

A very good little machine. A true laptop in that it does not get hot, and it's light weight make it the most easy to handle device that you can use. It's performance is very good as long as you don't try to do any heavy work. It seems to run all day without needing a charge. The only drawback is the small size of the memory as it doesn't allow the installation of many programs.

Was attracted to the $145 price tag on sale. Was hoping to replace a cheap Chromebook that had the same size screen, RAM, and processor. But running WIndows 10 on this is SLOW! I performed all of the updates and so on, but after 1/2 day of trying to browse, open apps, or even go to settings and explorer, it was just unbearable to use and I took it back. I don't know if I'd even give this to a young child. Going back to the Samsung Chromebook 2 for now.

This computer is easy to navigate. The computer was bought for a mature person and it was worth every penny. I even caught it on sale.
