We got two of these for our kids to use in school, one of whom is in college. They are compact and light weight with good battery life and have been excellent for basic school work, web browsing, and even streaming movies to a TV via HDMI. Certainly not fast or powerful like a gaming or multimedia device, but great for what we needed, and at a great price from Best Buy.

We bought this laptop looking for something small to take on our flight. Much like other laptops this size, it does the basics that we needed, office, internet, email etc. We bought is for $199 and it came with a year of Office ($65 value). So we figured we paid $135 for the laptop. We did get a wireless mouse which is so useful when using Word.

Perfect size for what I need it for, but memory is really low. I'll pay better attention next time I purchase a netbook.

I purchased this laptop for my son who is 7. It's great for his age group and allows him to get familiar with personal PC/laptop features(keyboard, USB, tracking pad, etc) and the basics of web browsing. Our local school system allows access to the educational programs they use in the classroom so he's also using it for that. The only con I would list is the screen resolution. It's tolerable to says the least based on the price point.

I purchased this laptop with the intention of using it for casual web surfing and email. In this sense it does not disappoint. If you want to do pretty much anything else though you'd be better off looking elsewhere. Anemic feature set and lack of expansion hurt this product as you will quickly find yourself short on storage and memory.

I bought this laptop for an online class. I personally don't like it as much as my HP Stream but it's more a comfort thing. Overall it runs good and I have had no issues with it.

I only use this to do PowerPoint presentations and it does a good job. However, it is slow. I wouldn't use it for much more, except email. The price was decent, though and it works for my purposes. I wish that I had upgraded so I could use it for a lot more. Now I will upgrade later when I need a powerful laptop.

The hard drive is a built in 32 gig flash drive. After the operating system and the included Microsoft office programs, that leaves you like 3 gigs. So you really can't install additional software. After a month or so, the computer decides that you don't need to go back to Windows 8, so it erases some of those files that you can't erase on your own and you end up with a little over 4 gigs total of free space. This still isn't enough for much. It's great for surfing the net, and using the Microsoft products, so if that's what you're using it for then awesome. It has a microSD slot so you can add chips to save all your work on, just not space for additional software. (I added a 128gig microSD card) There's not a lot of RAM so it occasionally sits there for a bit when you ask it to do stuff. But it's just fine for watching Netflix, writing your thesis, designing the code behind webpages, doing excell sheets or other things that don't require heavy processing. It is what it is, and it does what it does. If that's what you want, then it's a good price. If you need to edit video, get a fancier computer.

Bought it for my high school daughter to take with her as needed for school work after school when not at home. She also watches Netflix on it. It does what we need it to for her. Plus it's very light and portable, much easier to travel with than our main laptop. 4 stars because we have to take it back in to Best Buy Geek Squad to have it looked at already - black screen and won't turn on.

Very basic, slow. I'm a truck driver and I bought this to run log book program in my truck. Check email once in a while. Not fast enough to get into our terminals website. Small size is perfect to fit into a brief case and screen is big enough to see while driving. So it meets the need I bought it for.

I purchased this laptop for simple web research, note taking, and various simple tasks while at work, business meetings and travel. the only down side is the keyboard doesn't light up, but not a deal breaker.
Laptop loads quick enough, and I am able to type on the place, or at a small work station without any issues.
Overall, I am pleased with this laptop at this price point.
