For the price, this laptop cannot be beat. I researched for many weeks trying to find a better deal, but could not find a laptop that was packing more bang for the buck. It has a nice screen display, and the SRS speakers are LOUD unlike my old dell. It does not seem to run very hot, but the fans do kick on to keep it cool based on what you are doing on the laptop. It is heavier/bulkier because of the DVD drive, but I wanted to have that feature so it was ok for me.

My order was received within the timeframe stated and was easy to set up out of the box, except the Dell Stage is still a little confusing to me. I have not yet read the user guide. I had an old laptop with XP that was slow and heavy. I wanted a laptop that I could use to store and edit photos and take with me when travelling. I like the Windows Live Photo Gallery. It is a little heavier than I was expecting (even though the weight was listed). It stays fairly cool during long use but the battery life is only about 4 hours when not using the internet. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

It is my first laptop i ever owned and i love it sooo much....playing games or streaming is no problem for it....its the best laptop ever!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a nice little laptop with a crisp display that runs fast. I especially appreciate the responsive (Dell) mouse pad that gives very predictable cursor movement, as I've used other brands that were pretty bad. Price on Best Buy was pretty good. I was annoyed to have to drive to UPS to sign for this but I guess that makes sense for shipping an expensive item.

It's been performing very well. I have not experienced the noisy fan issue as some other reviewer may have indicated. Love it so far!

This is my second Dell 14rn laptop. It is a pretty decent laptop for the price, Display is good, it had HDMI port, 3 usb and the usb are pretty fast. I already have the Core i3 and this time i bought the i5. I love the one I already have, so i didnt have problem picking this one when it was on sale. Its little heavy compared to the modern laptops but i picked it for home use only. Connecting it to watch movies from hard drive or watching live stream games on my flat screen. Sometimes the battery shows not charging, but i always remove the battery or the charging adapter and connect it back, this always helps resolve the issue. --Naga

I was very excited about this computer when I purchased it on sale for $499. However, after receiving it I was extremely disappointed. The fan ran way too frequently. Even when only running chrome and word the fan would come on every few minutes or so and was very loud. When the fan wasn't running full speed, it was constantly making noises. I work a lot in a quiet environment and it was a major annoying to me. The speed was decent, but not as fast as I had expected. Also was not a fan of the touch pad. Hard to explain but not what I was used to and difficult to use. Nice looking, I did like the keyboard as well. Also Dell customer service was rude and unfriendly. I returned it and am looking for a new one now.

The best priced PC to date. It was a great replacement to my TOSHIBA. This was my first trial of a DELL. I still like the TOSIHBA had they been cheaper and more compact.

Bought this second one for my son for school. The 14 " is perfect for portability. I bought the same one last year with a bigger screen for home use and we liked it so much we got another.

I was using my daughter's Toshiba for a while before I bought this. I love the keyboard. Very easy to type on. I love the clear, large display. The sound is fantastic. The memory can't be beat. It's fast and I'm sure would be faster if I had a better router. I got it on sale and honestly for what you get, you can't beat the quality. I shopped around for the same computer elsewhere and it is selling for over $600. Great overall value!

My husband is not very computer savvy, but he has adapted to this laptop very easily. It was quick to set up and get him transitioned from his old laptop.

I use the Laptop for personal and Business I have enjoyed it since I received it.
