    Decent Laptop for Price

Purchased this unit on sale for around $100. It performs pretty well with Windows 10, but the amount of disk space (32GB) is pretty limiting considering there is only about 10GB free. You will need a SD card to expand the storage space. The construction is OK, about what you would expect for a laptop costing $100-200. Screen quality is better than you might expect and the battery life is decent.

Works OK, but surprised at how little memory was available for apps. Operating system and drivers takes up a lot of space on the 32Gig drive. Biggest disappointment is that Dell no longer supports Linux Mint. Ubuntu works fine (from USB drive), but I prefer Mint.

I purchased this Dell computer for my 9 year old cousin as a Christmas and he loved it. It was a reasonable price, such a great starter computer for him since it can install Microsoft office which will help him advance in his education. One con is that is has not much memory to store files on the computer but we also bought him a USB drive and that fixed the problem. Overall awesome computer.

Comes so preloaded that iTunes would crash it

Got this as a much needed gift at Christmas and grateful to have it. I'm not super tech savvy, just needed a way to prepare documents and print what my iPad can't. First off, came with an Internet protection disk..but nowhere to put it, found out disk use is becoming obsolete, but why bundle it with if you can't use it? Having the option to add necessary or wanted programs to MY laptop could not be done because it came preloaded around 75%. 99% of that is stuff I would never use,not once and has nothing to do with basic functionality leaving me without an option to do anything I want even just the option of a different browser forcing me to purchase more space with an EXTERNAL hard drive to access iTunes, there went ease of portability and majority of apps are unremoveable and not relevant to my interests at all. Also there was not even enough space for 1st update after initial startup. I know it is relatively cheap, but why does Windows push customizing the laptop if the ability is non existent? Add the junk to a drive that can support it rather than one that is minimal...obviously the buyer doesn't need the bells and whistles. Its been a month and everyday it tries to update, freezes my computer and tells me I need more space. I've done some investigating and have been told this is the norm these days in the computer world, with its own terminology even, junk ware and to buy this, use that and it can be fixed. Maybe I'm stubborn but, it's brand new and I haven't done anything that should need to be fixed, I'm using it just as it came with no options for me except for what I am forced to have. The plus side is, I can type a document and print it and that's what I needed.

I bought this for my 9 year old son for Christmas. He wanted a computer to begin to learn how to do coding, research for school, etc. This is a great computer for basic, simple things. For an adult who wants a multi-purpose laptop, this is not the one. The price does reflect this! I would recommend, then, a Dell in the $300 range for more features, usability and storage (which means higher speeds and less glitches).

I travel a lot. So I need a light-weight lap top to go with me. This purchase fits my requirement. It is also inexpensive. It performs word process and excel graph very well. I enjoy using it.

My review is based on an open box model. It was very slow and glitchy. Not sure if this was due to it have been previously used before. However, it was way to slow to be used, even occasionally.

This is a great deal if you understand what you are buying. It's essentially a web browsing machine. Pros: 1) Large screen for a budget PC. 2) Long battery life. I can go about 8 hours of total light usage. 3) Upgradable RAM. (Specs say it supports 4gb, but I was able to put 8gb. 4) Comes with 1 year of Office 365. (Which includes 1TB Onedrive cloud.) Cons: 1) 32gb hdd and it is not upgradable. This is is barely enough room for Windows 10 and a couple programs. 2) Slow processor. Make no mistake, this CPU sacrifices speed for battery life. Conclusion: Great deal for a budget PC. Some ways to deal with the Cons: 1) A RAM upgrade is pretty much required. 2) Reinstall Windows 10 from scratch 3) Install Linux instead of Windows. 4) Use OneDrive for all your storage. 5) Add a microSD card with a short adapter for use as permanent storage. (This doesn't help Windows, but you can at least store some of your files.)

This is just a basic laptop. The features are ok but the processor seems to be slower than I thought for certain tasks. But it was cheap, so I can't expect too much!

This laptop is for my 16 year old son. Pros: It does what he needs it to do, so was definitely worth the money; price-paid about $130; Cons: track pad is a bit insensitive; keyboard is crammed; there is lag and sometimes apps get stuck. For an inexpensive laptop with Microsoft Word and Office, I would recommend this computer.

Not so great & 32GB is really less than 10GB

I got this computer purely for travel, so I could still access things and use it without carrying my heavier computer that has virtually everything associated with me on it. This way, if lost, stolen or damaged, all I was out was the cost of this little computer. I bought it several weeks before my trip. Had I bought it the week before, it would have gone back, but since the 14 day return was up, I am stuck with it. My biggest complaint, is the lack of storage. 32GB isn't much, but would be plenty for what I am doing while travelling. However, when I looked at how much space I had when I got the computer, there was less than 10GB. I realize the operating system will take up space. It came loaded with Windows 10. So when I looked at how much of the 32GB was left, I was shocked to see less than 10GB. You have to buy a thumbdrive or something else to make this usable. I am using a 32GB thumb drive. Computer is fairly slow, even when not connected to the internet. It takes a firm press on the keys to register your keystrokes. I would be many keystrokes in before I realized it was not typing anything. I watch the keyboard since I am not a great typist. I also use with a mouse as I didn't like the touchpad. It was worth the $149 Black Friday special I guess, but the drawbacks make me wish I had spent more on a different computer.

This was a Christmas gift for my 10 year daughter and she loves it. My only problem Was that it came with so much stuff downloaded already so storage space wasn't what it supposed to been. But once I deleted what she had no need for, basically wiping the entire laptop clean everything was ok

I really liked the laptop purchased it as an open box when it was $50 off. For the price I can't complain it gets standard things done. I would love if it had a CD drive and the webcam wasn't such a bad quality.

I was looking for a 'bridge' machine that would get me thru a needed repair to my main laptop. In that regard the machine was more than adequate as a stand-in. If your needs are more robust, then processor speed might be an issue, but all in all it functioned very well. It was light and portable enough for me to stick it in my work bag and take with me every day, though I also had to carry the power cord to last the day. In the one month that I have had it though, the space key has already started showing signs of wear where my thumb strikes. All in all that's more of a minor niggle however.
