Screen broke

When I go home opened it there was a spot on screen I thought was a spec of dirt. Two days later while using it tried to wipe it off with glasses wipe and screen shattered from that spot. Called my local best buy they told me since I didn't buy the extended coverage they would cover the repair

Very slow laptop
