This is an awesome laptop. Spec for spec one of the best priced units I could find. I compared against Acer, Lenovo, HP and many others and couldn't come close to what this laptop has to offer.

I am happy with the purchase of the machine. It has the specs of a gaming laptop without the price. other brands do not have the 4k screen and dedicated graphics card. definitely a thumbs up. :)

Used this laptop (Dell - Inspiron 15.6" 4K) for about one month. Absolutely happy with it's the performance. Both the screen resolution and battery performance are good.

I had been searching online for a new laptop for months, and had come across this particular model often. It's a great machine and worth spending a little extra on.

The computer works flawlessly and the display is absolutely awesome. Windows 10 has been a pleasant surprise as well.

This is a top of the line laptop at a very, very reasonable price. All the bells and whistles needed for animation tech.

Best bang for the buck. Buy it and upgrade the ram to 16gb and to a samsung evo ssd this laptop will fly!

I always buy Dell laptops. The last XPS lasted 6 years. I do photo retouch and video editing. This monster can handle them with no problem. 4gb video card can play the newest games and 4k video. Keys are smaller but comes with the number pad. Touch screen is a bit overkill. You cant use it properly because it dosent flip. I would suggest to upgrade the disk with ssd and 16 gb memory. The restart time drops to 15 seconds.

yes its heavy yes the 4k causes some programs and other items to be small. yes it is heavy (did i mention that?) it runs pretty cool, but the bottom does get warm sometimes when I am video editing the keyboard doesnt offer a lot of key travel, wish it was better the trackpad feels like it has some play in it, and it's not very responsive to very small movements. wish it was better HOWEVER it is powerful I dont have any lag when video editing it is easy to upgrade (1 screw) it is fast doing any activity I read you should upgrade the wireless card for $25. i plan to. and read you can utilize the m2 slot for a ssd. I plan to. I like the rubbery feel of the area next to the trackpad and the machine itself. the machine looks cool I decided to keep it since the pros outweighed the cons for me.

I bought for my son he likes it before he has HP ,he told me Dell is better and faster than HP

This is exactly what I wanted. I good speed gaming rig without costing an arm and a leg.

Pros: Glossy Display, 4K looks great!, Metal Lid, and Palm rest, Rubberized chassis improves grip. VERY easy to upgrade, Touch-screen works great, Great Port placement. Cons: Keyboard feels cheap (not alot of push to the keys), Trackpad feels cheap not very accurate but usuable. Battery life on 4k even just browsing web is terrible. Switching display resolution to 1080p added almost 2 hours, Battery is internal. This laptop is great for movies, editing, photography, music production, CAD, design etc. If these are your intended purposes this is an excellent laptop. Otherwise it is overkill. Gaming is ok but 4k display is not necessary and in some cases holding you back. You can always switch to 1080p to increase performance. However you could easily find a skylake i5 and native 1080p display and save yourself a couple hundred dollars and get the same performance.

Works as it should. Fires up quickly. Best Buy as usual was easy to work with.
